I no dey understand this depression is it lack of money or is it lack happiness. I dey suspect village people, there is nothing like depression in Africa where weed and beer full ground.

Nonsense, by now he must have realised that suicide is a biggest mistake of his life. There are ppl that has suffered more depression than him but never took their lives. There are many ways he could have helped himself not by suicide..

I don't know how I keep winning depression but I know what kept me is hope and my mama.

I believe the future is bright. Though we may have made alot of mistakes in life or missed a path but there's a better life out there. It's a matter of time and hardwork.

If you feel suicidal and you think you don't have a purpose to live for, then you should know you have a purpose to make your mama or loved ones happy. Don't break their hearts.

Don't be a fool man, their are ppl out there experiencing worse than what u are passing through but they never took or attempt to take their lives. Someday everything will make perfect sense. So for now laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.

He was a bank executive before he 'died'. He worked with access bank nd recently moved to diamond bank. I still find this difficult to believe, because he was mostly in happy mood. We attended thesame church in Ibadan b4 i left that environment.

U can start by meditating intensely on this scripture Job 14: 7-9
For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
Also talk to your Pastor about it, don't feel ashamed.

I always tell myself that I am strong. Comfort myself and paint a beautiful picture of the future. It keeps me going.

i feel depress last year to d extent of commiting suicide. i look at the sharp knife in my hand and shake my head. sometime commiting suicide is not always d best. brace up and face d challenge ahead.

The rate at which people commit suicide nowadays is astonishing. Funny enough most people commit suicide over frivolous things such as losing a job, a loved one or being mocked. There was a time when I used to beg my friends for 20 Naira so I could buy fish for garri, there was a time when 50k was like a million Naira to me and a time when 1 million Naira made me feel like Dangote. Nowadays I've made hundreds of millions and I've come to appreciate the little things in life, like good health, a supportive friend or family member and safe flights to and from my destinations. I've learned that those without shoes would cry until they see those with one leg, those with one leg would cry until they see those without legs, those without legs would cry until they meet someone who is blind and someone that is blind would cry until he or she learns that a loved one or friend is no more....Perspective is the key to happiness, insead of being depressed about what you don't have, be excited about the little you do have!

well, depression is not just pain. Its not just sadness, its not just a low mood. Its not just something the person can just decide to snap outof. Its a severe chronic and extremely debilitating mental health condition and those that decide on suicide do it because they can't find any other way to stop the pain. Most suffers need professional help from mental health specialists plus appropriate support to help them through it but unfortunately, in nigeria, verY few get the help they need

the fact that i'm here today is because of my little sis. she's my only source strength and i can't imagine for her without me. i get mentally exhausted half the time. nobody seems to understand and nobody cares...i feel lonely even in crowd of friends or colleagues.
