'They Are Using Us To Make Money’ —Says Nigerian Soldiers

Nigerians soldiers have taken to social media to narrate the sad condition they’ve been left in, just after 100 of their colleagues were killed by Boko Haram terrorists.

While the Nigerian army, the Presidency and other media aides are yet to comment on the recent killings, however the Nigerian soldiers were heard saying that their superiors and politicians ‘were using them to make money’ in the video.

The distraught soldiers also complained about the obsolete weapons they are armed with, to fight against the insurgents who have a better weapon.

This is coming a day after a disturbing footage of an attack by Boko Haram terrorists which left many people dead, was released online. The worst losses came when the terrorists, overran a military base in the village of Metele in the north-eastern state of Borno on Sunday.

The area is the centre of an insurgency waged by Boko Haram, which was founded nine years ago to bring strict Islamic law to swaths of Nigeria, and a second newer group linked to Islamic State. Nigeria’s military and government have repeatedly said they are on the point of defeating the militants.

However, raids on military bases have continued over recent months, inflicting significant casualties. One assault on an army post on the border with Niger in September left 48 people dead.

An officer among the troops attacked at Metele told Reuters:

“The insurgents took us unawares. We lost about 100 soldiers. It is a huge loss.
“We all [ran away] because we didn’t know where the bullets were coming from.

They killed some of us who went to evacuate the bodies of the killed soldiers. We left our armour, tanks and weapons … The village is still under their control.”

That's why we recruited you. We gave you a job so that we can monetize you. People serve their country here in America too. I haven't seen any soldier lamenting like this before.

Which chapter is this written in your book of lamentation?

angry Nigeria is the most useless country in the world, considering the length of this war, by now the Useless nigerian army should have at least 2 attack helicopters in every major military base to respond to distress calls of soldiers within minutes.

Dasuki is in detention illegally, so who is stealing money meant for weapons and the military, as the Apc stated in the past that the money dasuki stole prevented The army from fighting with quality weapons.

angry
this war would never end, it has taken an international dimension with so many international interest, thanks to the Northern leaders and the Apc who destroyed, ridiculed and tarnished the image of the country internationally just to get power.
The worse is yet to come as boko haram is now a bargaining tool for foreign powers. any government they dislike, they usher in the terrorist sect. like what is happening in the middle east.
A divided country like Nigeria can never win boko haram, until we stop politics of destroy the country under his tenure so that we can get power, as propagated by APC. angry

just watch the annoying video shared in the other thread and see how some useless ragtag miscreants, were killing so called trained and armed soldiers angry

That's why we need to put our hands together to vote Buhari out.

He's obviously the one behind all these. He's bloody, bigotic, incompetent and too lifeless to be a president.

My only problem is that his zombified gullible slave supporters are too blind to see how bad their master has turn this country into.

Shut up.
Soldiers don't nag.
True soldiers never complain.
They fight with bravery to the end and die smiling.

If they don't use you to make money, who will they use?
Me??

It is not our fault that the army has allowed themselves to become a willing tool for propaganda.
So this is the price you pay.

Soldiers that were led into ambush like rams into slaughter house. Listen to what they were saying. Boko Haram boys are using heavy Calibre guns in contrast with the toys they were given

WE HAVE ONLY 2 OPTIONS IF THERE IS EVER GOING TO BE PEACE ON OUR LAND.

1. We must genuinely restructure Nigeria.

2. We go our separate ways.

Until we address one of these options, even in 100 years time, the country will not make any meaningful progress.

The Nigeria Army recorded the highest number of casualties ever, in the recent attacks by boko haram. The number of casualties recorded was double the number released, so people wouldn't be scared to join the army. This is a terrorist group they claimed to have conquered technically. They went ahead and plunged their hands into our reserve and dug out billions of dollars to buy ammunition yet without any result. This is the most wasteful government I have ever seen. Nigeria needs somebody like Jerry Rawlings
