This is a good gesture or should i say a good job for his responsibility. Once again, we no dey ever do anything complex where we dey think through and be thorough in planning and acting on the plans. How can you buy this many transformers and we don't even have power to supply them. Am not saying don't replace the old ones but as a leadership unit, nothing is thoroughly planned and executed. Now you have bought all these transformers, but we can't even give it 2 weeks worth of steady power in a year, so now, it becomes a sitting duck for idle minds to tinker with. Instead of getting serious on providing source (main plants), at least to give nigerians hope. Instead you are installing useless aluminum cans everywhere. Buying transformers is not the problem. Installing and commissioning is the problem. That is why some NEPA offices are filled with brand new transformers but not installed for end users to enjoy. Who is he deceiving?

I saw the substandard medical equipment in those rooms, including the funny-looking OP Table. Any obese patient who lies on that table would definitely fall. See bedside lockers and OPTL, all looking like toys. I pity the people of kano. They need to liberate themselves from their corrupt leaders. These people travel abroad for medical treatment and I doubt if they see such tattered-looking equipment in their hospitals overseas. |

Josh2x:It is not State Govts job to distribute transformers sef. The DISCOS have been privatised. They should be distributing electricity, not State Govt. Kano DISCO sef imported 70,000 transformers last year. How are we sure these are not some of them that the Governor borrowed for publicity? Nigerian Govt loves to operate in a haphazard fashion with no clarity of purpose. Leave private sector to do their job and regulate them if they don't. This caused rancor between him and Kwakwanso because heavy casualties were recorded. Did you ever wonder why Kwakwanso was not indicted in the matter by the kano State House of Assembly upon investigation? Kwakwanso simply ignored the incident for peace to reign. When I watched the video in which he was stacking dollars inside his babariga, I was not surprised. Those who know his antecedents would understand better. FYI. I'm conversant with Keffi area of kano where we executed a project which lasted some months. |
