Hello guys, I have been following this group for a while but haven't commented before. Right now I have a serious issue and I pray someone in this group can give me a solution. I applied to the university of derby to study accounting and finance and was given admission. Before i paid in any amount my sister who resides in the UK called to ensure that I would get a refund if I changed my mind about continuing with the course. Then I paid in 1000gbp and later got a course at Nottingham Trent MSC computing systems with placement year, which I prefer to study. Now the university of derby is refusing to refund the 1000gbp I paid in and I gave them not meeting up with required finances as my reason for requesting a refund. Please help, don't know what to do next..

Good evening, please I have just realised I won't be able to meet the financial requirement for CAS but what is the consequence of picking the no option of not being able to meet the financial requirement as stated on the application form in the future?

The money was deposited on 13th of November, please when is the best date to print out the bank statement ? Won't there be any issue if no money enters or leave the account for this period as I don't have any kobo to add to that account .Thank you

You decided to muddle up things. You may have a noble objective,but on a forum like this, it can mid-inform and send a wrong message.

Print your statement after the 28days to be on the safer side. Money can go either ways but the ballnace at any point in time during the said period should not be less than you required maintenance fee.

Deep within you, you know that your “6 years + DES” Statement was misleading.

The DES does NOT form part of your studies, and you know it.

Decided sharing my wife's timeline and docs used which I believe may be helpful to someone applying for a Tier 4 dependant visa.

Exactly 2 working days. Thank you everyone for mails and responses which proved very helpful.

Documents sent in:
Bank statement (3 Months), Letter of Student Status, Invitation letter from husband, Relationship proof (259 pages), Marriage certificate and attestations. Application form should be carefully filled (Hubby is on a fellowship).

Play safe....till like 13th or 14th of December, money moving into and away from the account not a problem except it goes lower than the required amount withing the 28 days period. What school pls ??

Again, I will repeat. It doesn’t make any sense to be muddling things up and confusing folks on this platform.

DES is NOT part of a T4 Visa.
You have to understand you could be passing a wrong message to folks on this platform.
DES is NOT a ‘given’ even if you are on whatever kind of scholarship.

You should understand that anything you post on a public forum (especially on a thread like this) should serve to inform, not mix up T4 Visa issue and Doctoral Extension scheme, as though they are the same thing.

I received a call this evening from a Nigerian representative of my school asking me to attend an interview with him by next week before they can issue me CAS. Please is this proper? Can this be the embassy interview because I am just confused .

CAS would enable you apply for a visa, and you can only be interviewed by the "embassy" after you have applied for a visa, not before.

As per being proper, every school have their pre-requisite, but do your due diligence sha before attending the interview.
