Good day@All (special greetings @chinelo)
Please I need to advise a friend who just got an offer to work as a nurse through an agency (Mohiya Integrated Services) for Al-Hayat Hospital, Saudi Arabia, but I lack information. I pray this honourable house to enlighten me on whether she should accept the offer or not with respect to pay (SAR 3000), security of the hospital (which I think is in riyadh) and other factors like gender (since she is a female).
Thanks most kindly.

You didn't say how many years experience your friend has. How do you expect someone to advice you?

Can someone help with this Saudi work visa process please?

I already asked earlier with no response.

I'm being told one cannot apply directly except through approved agents.
is this true?

[quote author=dammytex post=64299614]Hello Guys, I need some help.

My company is transferring me to Saudi for a year and I'm trying to sort the visa arrangements.

I am being told; I cannot apply directly except through an approved agent. Is this true?
If true, who can recommend an agent that can help with one year work visa for Saudi?
And what are the complete requirements for the visa?

Thanks.

I do but for ladies, infact there are visas on ground for ladies as I speak to you

Security is the least of your problems here.
Riyadh is the capital city.
The salary is small. If she desperately needs a job let her take it and look for the nearest exit route.
But let them make sure they give her accommodation within the hospital or nearby.
As a female she has to dress in abaya.
More strict in Riyadh.

Dear, I was just generalising. Though money for all of us who are here is way much better than country of origin. tongue tongue tongue

The sad part is your passport determines how well you get paid. Americans are the kings, then UK,Canada, Australia, SA.
Egypt, Jordan, India, Sudanese teachers are the least paid.

Do you know where I can buy an American passport? grin grin

Everyone is paid well but the good pay skipped me tongue

It sounds like a very strange country, with stone age laws and customs. I could make bank there with my work experience and US passport, but I'd rather have freedom and none of the godawful desert heat.

The good news is that you don't need to travel abroad to obtain your TEFL / TESOL certification. International TEFL Training Institute New York now has a training center in Lagos Nigeria. www.tesolcourselagos.com

I personally invite all those that are interested in getting TEFL / TESOL Certification to make out time to attend a one day conference organized by ITTI Lagos and supported by ITTI NEW York. This type of conference is not common in Nigeria. Questions about TEFL/TESOL certification course, teaching English as a non-native speaker, job opportunities abroad will be answered at the conference. Visit www.tesolcourselagos.com for more info.
