Well, i am gonna say this and once. I no go use any sugar cover am.

We were in a class one day for (English Language for Engineers). I think say na normal Noun and Adverb wey dem take finish us for Nigeria. (Mind you i also did Technical Report writing in 9ja and smashed IELTS in one seating) We were given one kind lexis and structure without options where to fill from. So it happened that many options fits. The context was about classifying Engineering Materials (where they are from, their chemical/Mechanical properties...about Carbonation, enealling, hardening, case-hardening, stress, strain, fracture, Torque, fatigue, yield point, plasticity etc) and naming different types of drawing......2D,3D, Dimensional, Working dwg, Explosive design etc..(English language oooo).

Now, because i already studied Material Science and Design way-back, i could understand what to fill at least 70 percent. But hey...most other options happened to also fit logically. But eventually, when the Professor showed the correct answers..bros, we didn't see that coming. One Yoruba guy and a Cameroonean (who already had Bachelors) nearly provoke for the Prof. grin grin grin grin

Now it happened that many folks didn't have a clue. I asked the professor, "Are we gonna be expecting this kinda thing in Exam?"

She answered "You know, i didn't make the rules. It is typical for the Bavarian region. Our exams are usually not multi-choice. Normally, Education in Bavaria is tougher than every other part of Germany...so when you pass with a Bavarian certificate, ......."

Well, i am saying this because many people here wanted to travel out of Nigeria for many reasons. For me, if German certificate is German certificate....why should i come and kill myself by myself? Honestly, don't be discouraged. But also don't say "I wish i was told earlier". I have come of age to know what fits me per time. No be paper we dey find come here las las? What shall it profit your village people that you came here and graduate in 10years? Ogbeni are you a baby?

Jokes apart, if common English could be this tricky, think about Maths 1, Maths 2, in some cases, Maths 3(For sexy engineering courses). Physiscs na light weight. Statistics na die! Maths easy pass Stats somehow...Stats you need to think larger whereas maths is kinda fixed.

Consider another school i got in another State doing similar course in Engineering (although 180 ects) but without Statistics, Accounting 1, 2, 3, and some hardcores in higher semester which involves higher programming languages too? Plus, they do German as a compulsory module with 5 credits each semester(which means if you had B1 already in Nigeria you don dash yourself 20 credits)? That means, you'd be graduating with automatic C1 whereas here, we paid a token to learn German after class from 4.30 to 6.45 twice a week and its not even graded? When is the time to hustle?
Well, i no wan argue on this. just the same way i was helped with resources from here, i am giving back. By the way we are doing 6 courses in a semester whereas that other school is doing 4/5? NO shaking, all of us go come here and we go make am Insha Allah.

All things are possible. Believe. Be ready. Fight!!

Hello everyone, please I need certain clarifications before I certify my documents to send them to Uni-assist.
1. What's the difference btw Transcript of records and Academic Transcript. My sch requested for the 2. I mailed them to seek clarifications but they said i just mail uni assist instead n I'm yet to get response. What i have is just Transcript.

2. Which document can stand in for " proof of completion of higher education entrance examination in home country"? It thought it is waec result but the same school requested for secondary school leaving certificate.

Thanks.

Management students are also needed but i can't really say for Germany.

Over to my oga at the top Berliner, willy2000, pomsido, honourableseyi, heybaby and others

The truth of the matter is that apart from IT (programmers in particular) every other profession be it STEM or outside STEM need quite a bit of effort in getting a position post study.

My advice, forget about STEM and focus on learning the language well. Believe me when I say that no matter your program, if you have say B2 or C1 and can read and write german well, you will definitely find offers.

Even System and network administrators have it tough without german. I have many IT Security specialist friends that have B1 german and still being told it is not enough. I also met a guy that studied Law and Economics in English (very little german A1 level) but got a job as a research analyst with a startup in Hamburg.

So, what I am saying is that with God all things are possible but try your very best to be in the best position to get offers no matter what course you are studying.

There are guys that studied Economics and work in Banks now (Fintiba for example), someone studying english communication and has an HR internship with a big company (english only), friend who studied quantitative finance and now working as a business intelligence analyst....the list is endless.

Plan, prioritize, grind, learn and see success fall on you in multiple folds...

Good evening everyone.
I wish to study an healthcare course.
Preferably nursing, pharmacy or dentistry.
Please how do I go about this

My initial plan was to apply to a university here either in nursing or pharmacy, get done with 100lvl and apply with my 100L transcript.

I read somewhere that most healthcare courses are taught in German.
