Mustack:

New Phone can never come with custom ROM
the seller have a lot to explain. I guess the phone is faulty hence why she deliberately install a custom rom. A brand new phone? What do you suggest I do because I'm depressed now.

Mrblaster:
I've not reset the phone. It's very painful.

Try a security reset. It would wipe phone clean, so save all your important files and folders........

Send a screenshot of about phone, so we see rom version ......
The reason I advocate buying from Umidigi's direct store....

I don't think you should reset since you have opened a dispute

How does resetting affect the dispute?

It's like rooting a phone, once you factory reset it. Root access is lost.......

I just felt leaving the phone the same might help his dispute since wiping the phone might delete the custom ROM

If resetting fixes the phone and buyer is happy, I feel its a much better option than posting phone back to China. If the phone is not performing optimally and buyer accepts a partial refund, the phone might progressively get worse.

If I was buyer, either phone can be fixed via resetting, or full refund.......

It doesn't misbehave
I got an update September
It think the phone is about 4/5months old
And yes the battery is great....I get around 12hrs SOT

About your phone not getting charged to100 percent
Try charging the phone before using it...don't use the phone while charging it...it will mess with the battery percentage calibration.

Discharge the battery to 0 percent then recharge to 100 percent when the phone is off

Remember avoid using the phone while it's charging.

I really appreciate your contribution. May God bless you. What you're trying to say is that anytime I'm charging I shouldn't use the phone. Is that what you normally do too? And as for the updates which you got in September, is it 8.1 or same 7.0 with an update. I've tried charging the phone from 0 which stops at 90%. When I inbox the phone the battery is already 99%and I charged it to 100% full. Thereafter, all the charging stops at 99% but when I down the battery and recharge it, it stopped at 92%. That's the situation of things.

I noticed that whenever I use the phone while charging it gets stuck at 88 percent.I fixed that by discharging and charging to 100 percent without using the phone.
So now I just wait for the phone to be fully charged before using it.
It takes around 2hrs for me to get a full battery(not bad considering its a 5000mah battery)and I get around 12hrs SOT

The OS is still 7.0 sadly

i guess this would be for gamers, like if you need more ram and battery.and maybe a better resolution since already it obvious it will share same design pattern with the one max, so thoz are likely the main updates they can make to one max.
