Realme, the once sub-brand of Oppo Electronics Corporation, will be launching its latest smartphone to add to the already impressive collection of Realme smartphones on November 28.

The smartphone -Realme U1- touted as "India's Selfiepro" on Amazon will the world's first smartphone powered by Mediatek-Helio P70. It will be launched at 12:30 PM in India and reports have confirmed that it will be sold exclusively on Amazon.

The smartphone will be the first of Realme U series.

.NEW DESIGN AND NEW LOGO.

Realme will ditch its traditional white and red colour combination and adopt a cooler blue for the box and yellow for the branding combination. Recall that recently, the company unveiled a new logo which combines both the small letter "r" and the capital letter "R".

.MEDIATEK-HELIO P70

One of the highlights of the phone is the Mediatek-Helio P70 which is the lastest processor from the chipset manufacturer
Mediatek.

Realme U1 will run on the 12nm processor which will deliver a 13 per cent boost compared to its predecessor. The Helio P70 also features an APU improved AI performance. It comes with 8-core unit CPU and 4x ARM cortexA73 cores at 2.1 GHz and 4x Cortex A53 cores at 2 GHz. All these are paired with an updated GPU, the ARM Mali-G72 MP3.

You can expect the Helio P70 to deliver a good performance even though it is yet to be tested. But the predecessor, Helio P60 was a nice mid-range processor which runs smoothly on phones like Oppo F9 pro, Nokia 5.1 plus, Realme 1.

.WATERDROP NOTCH DISPLAY

In terms of display, the phone is expected to be similar to the Realme 2 pro which means a reflective rear panel with a dual camera and a fingerprint sensor mounted at the back.
However, at the front, you can expect a large waterdrop display notch which houses the front camera.

PRICING

Already, Realme makes the headline for delivering impressive mid-range smartphones at competitive prices. That is reasonable for the fact that its target audience is the youths. But given the falling price of the country currency against the dollar, it is expected that the Realme U1 is priced fairly high compared to other Realme phones.

The Realme U1 is expected to cost in the range of $200-$220.

OTHERS

The company announced as the launching date of the smartphone alongside the focus point which is the MediaTek Helio P70. It refused to release details of other specifications of the phone, so not much is known about the camera, battery and other specs. We will have to wait for the launch on November 28 to verify the phone's specification.

Mediatek is doing a good job, but i think they should be giving Snap Dragon and the A12 a run for their money.
