The real question is did police apply best practices in investigation and prosecution?

All the evidence the police alleged need to prosecute the case is on social media, they have no surprises to pull in court, why won't they argue not guilty.

Instead of acquiring rock solid evidence, preserve it and deposit it in court, they will push/interrogate/torture you for confession and then present you to social media, so that you will know that they are working.

A smart lawyer, who knows his onions, will simply enter court and beat the prosecution. By the time they are done, the police always look stupid at the end of the day....

Yeah all you stated are on point. Police and their torture and poor tactics won't win good cases in court. That is why I said they need to improve their prosecution and legal team

Earlier the court had struck out the name of the first accused person, Michael Adikwu, said to have died in police custody, from the case after the prosecution, and the state Attorney General, Kamaldeen Ajibade, filed an application to amend the charge.

The highlight of Friday’s proceedings was the absence of compact disc, containing confessional video evidence, which the defence counsel said he was yet to lay his hands on.

Also, the prosecution said that he was not in possession of the disc, explaining that it was still in Police headquarters, Abuja, and yet to be released to him.

The presiding judge, Halima Salman, therefore, adjourned the matter till January

I SEE DEATH SENTENCES AWAITING THIS ARMED ROBBERS BY THE COURT.

They not only rob several banks but killed over 30 persons including pregnant woman and police men stationed at the bank in Offa and at the police station.

Already one of the factional leader who was arrested for the robbery and was kept under police custody, who is a dismissed police officer by name Michael Adikwu is already dead.

The police reported that Michael Adikwu slumped and died.

Many onlooker believed that Michael Adikwu may have be killed secretly by the Nigeria police given the gravity of his offence and may be to cover up some information about the extent of the criminality.

We are keeping our fingers cross to follow development.

Defense counsel might be claiming that the confessional statement was obtained under coaxed interrogation so the only way police can disprove that is to tender the video which we all know might implicate the police
