5. Both state have bad roads but the connectivity in between towns in ogun is fairer than delta.

7. Ogun state have higher population using the telecoms users chart and not 2006 census thereby have higher population density.

8. Security in ogun state is better than that of delta.

9. Higher concentration of industries than delta meaning higher number of employed people.

10. Religious activities tourism in Nigeria, leading to higher employed people.

12. Access to potable water is better in ogun than delta where some parts suffer water pollution

I schooled in Ogun state... And I enter delta well, u can't compare at all at all... Wen u enter both towns sef, u know u r in a better place... Infrastructures and houses in delta state will let u know that people in delta are doing better than people in Ogun state by a mile.

Looks like ignorance is bliss for you. The bolded is pure thrash. If you have never been in Rivers State before then I suggest you ask questions so you don't go looking like a fool. Aside Port Harcourt LGA, there are other LGAs doing very well. They are Eleme LGA, Bonny LGA (LNG is situated here) and Obio Akpor LGA. If you knew the importance of these three LGAs to Nigeria, you'd never made unfounded statements like the bolded again.

Did I mention Onne Port? I think this is located in Eleme LGA. Do you know that Onne seaport is the seaport in Nigeria with the highest throughput? Even higher than Apapa and Tincan seaports.

No one is dumb enough, minus you obviously to compare Delta with Anambra in terms of development index.
Asaba which is supposed to be the capital of Delta state is like a child town to Onitsha, seriously I don't understand the concept of this dumb comparison.
Most things that comes to Delta and other South States including Rivers are from Anambra markets, and Abia.

Close proximity to Lagos gives Ogun an edge over Delta.

I agree that SW states are overrated but
Lagos State > Rivers State.
Ogun State > Delta State.
Akwa Ibom State > Oyo State.
Cross River State > Ekiti State.
Osun State > Bayelsa State.

Bayelsa is a disgrace to south south, large amount of natural resource plus very small population density but grossly inadequate infrastructure, highly uneducated people, no potable water supply, people living in poverty.

To be sincere, SW is over hyped, even Lagos. SS is far ahead of SW. The only problem SS has is that it doesn't have a homogenous tribe like SE (Igbo), SW (Yoruba) and NW (Hausa). It is made up of many strong and independent tribes.

What is driving Lagos economy is the systemic marginalisation against SE/SS, the SS oil and the huge migrant population.

Open a sea port in SS or SE, close the oil pipeline valve and Lagos will collapse and send the non-indigenes home, Lagos will fall like a pack of cards.
