darkelf:So age has become one of the basis for comparing the duo? An Mbappe that won a world cup, played for Monaco, playing for PSG haba etc...with an upstart like Chukwueze? Look at Chukwueze s team mates at Chile 2015..thats where you should begin the comparison biko? Our joy is that we have not had a player like him....left foot attacking from the right....so young...playing for a Spanish team...top team not minding their position...we are just excited...mbok....we know he is still a greenhorn...allow us to enjoy what we are watching....No one is comparing him with anybody...Samu....Barcelona was a big test for him and they gave him 7/10.. |

mostob:lol. So u re tryna say the dude didn't work hard for his fortunes and truimphs. Why limiting his talent to luck only? He is fast, skillful, pacy, talented, humble, energized, Young and lucky. Kudos to him. |

krattoss:I tayya for oga mostob o,he mentioned 2qualities mbappe has,yet he still termed him as a lucky dude, trying to rubbish his accolades and team performance, if he only rely on luck,he wouldn't have limited playing time of world class players like di maria, draxler and co, If its possible for d likes of messi and cronaldo were given d chance to exchange deir personal award to mbappe world cup trophy, dey won't hesitate to do such ![]() |

krattoss:am not downgrading him..he really tried. But did he really work hard? he won ligue 1 with Monaco then signed for PSG that has veratti,Di maria ,Neymar, draxler and cavani. This is a pure luck mehn. Then during the WC,he had kante ,griezman, pogba et al around him. Luck? yes but hard work? No. o pari |

Mbappe is a fantastic player no doubt.. But if u wanna know how good he is,use PSG champions league games to judge him not that farmers league called ligue1 . Since the Arabs took over PSG,all other teams in France have been reduced to nothing... I bet if you put Chukwueze in that PSG team,he would be a star... |

elyte89:I don't rubbish his accolades, just implying that he has had an easy ride so far. Based on quality, he didn't limit play time of Di maria and co...his price tag is the justification for his starting role. pace and finishing? Nowadays, football is now more than pace and finishing. what if the chances are not coming from midfield? what modern day football entails now is ability to make something happen out of nothing. That is what distinguishes Messi from other players. o pari |

mostob:Abi oo... Most times, the type of team mates you have around you can influence your performance.. When Iheanacho was at Man city surrounded by world class players he was regarded as world class by some.. Now look at him at Leicester and his averageness has been exposed.. In the sane vein, you don't have to be surround end by world class players before your quality can show.. Like Kante and Mahrez who were stars in an average Leicester team... I have no doubt about Mbappe's quality, but so far he's been feed with a silver spoon |

The Nigeria Football Federation have tried in vain to lure Hertha Berlin central defender Jordan Torunarigha to commit his international future to the Super Eagles over Germany, where he was born. The 21-year-old Torunarigha has earned 26 caps for Germany's U16, U18, U19, U20 and U21 national teams, and trained with Germany's senior squad containing the likes of Arsenal's Mesut Ozil, Man City's Leroy Sane and Bayern Munich's Jérôme Boateng ahead of their trip to Russia for the 2018 World Cup. He was approached by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to play for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup but rejected the opportunity, saying he wants to prove himself for the German teams. Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou, who is teammates with Jordan at Hertha Berlin, has urged the Nigerian Federation to make another move for the defender ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. Speaking to Oma Sports in Hannover, Kalou stated : ''I don't know what the situation is so I cannot comment on it but Jordan is a fantastic player, good boy. ''I hope they will convince him to play for Nigeria but right now he is playing amazing for Hertha Berlin, that is the most important for me.'' Jordan Torunarigha has found the net three times in 25 appearances for Hertha Berlin since he made his Bundesliga debut against FC Ingolstadt in February 2017. |

Ogenyi Onazi has lost his role as one of the vice captains of the Super Eagles of Nigeria with coach Gernot Rohr omitting his name from the players who will captain the team during games. Onazi played the role of vice captain to Mikel Obi for the first two years of the reign of Rohr as coach but lost his spot prior to the World Cup in Russia and it appears it has also cost him his role as one of the captains of the team. While analysing the role of Musa and how it differs from that of Mikel as captain, the coach named Udinese defender William Troost-Ekong as the third captain of the team in the absence of Mikel and Musa who are the first and second captains respectively. Rohr said all three players have shown leadership qualities on and off the pitch hence his decision to trust them with the armband and he further explained that the role of a captain extends beyond the ninety minutes they spend on the pitch. “Musa’s leadership of the team has worked very well because he brings the right spirit to the group, which is very important. He is a younger man than Mikel with a different mentality”, Rohr said. “The captain is very important because he can help me to bring to the team not only the right spirit, but also the right organisation on the pitch and off it. “We spend about 22 hours of the day and perhaps two hours on the pitch. He also helps in the hotel and in the travelling, which is very important. “Mikel is also a fantastic captain. He brings a certain calm to the team and the players respect for what he has achieved. We are blessed because in his absence Musa has done well. Even if Musa is not around we have our third captain, Troost-Ekong, who is also a very good character and an example for all these young players we have now.” |
