Ambode’s Commissioner Resigns From APC

The Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources in Lagos State, Mr Olawale Oluwo, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Mr Oluwo made the announcement in a resignation letter sent to Channels Television on Wednesday.

In the letter dated December 3 and addressed to the APC Chairman in the state, he explained that he took the decision as a result of the events played out at the party’s state primary held in October.

Oluwo alleged that the exercise was characterised by voter disenfranchisement, undue influence, violence, and intimidation to members among other activities that violate the electoral law.

He also claimed that the party lacked integrity, stressing that this has diminished the reputation of the state as a reference point for free and fair democratic practice.

The APC leadership in the state has yet to respond to Oluwo’s allegations.

Ambode is a true definition of a kid in politics.

The way the young man was dumped is very embarrassing. Someone said he was not following Lagos road map. I'm like what? Is Remi Tinubu following the same road map? Why is she going back to the Senate?

The kid rather than have a strong hold of the state assembly chose to always run errand for top men. The rest is the story.

Politics is local. This political appointee is not grounded and rooted locally. May not have been a politician but was appointed because he is Ambode's friend. So Ambode's failed 2nd term bid is a personal loss. Dude was looking forward to another fruitful 4 years.
