Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has lambasted Bishop David Oyedepo for saying he is “dangerously wealthy”.

Bishop Oyedepo had, while dismissing claims that he gets funds from Nigerian politicians during ongoing Shiloh, stated that he is dangerously wealthy and won’t be needing such money.

But reacting to this, youngest son of late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti blasted the cleric, telling him that money cannot buy knowledge.

In an Instagram post, Seun said, “You can be “dangerously rich” doesn’t mean you can buy enough knowledge to understand satire.”

Seun was talking about Oyedepo’s reaction to satire article on a national daily about President Muhammadu Buhari being cloned Jubril from Sudan. According to him, the pastor should have known that the writer was only being satirical.

Seun Kuti is spot on.

Their 'papa' is dangerously rich and dangerously ignorant that he can't understand satirical pieces.

'jibrin of Sudan's family are in Abuja to collect 50% of Nigerian 10 year oil production" - Oyedepo

And an adult with a functioning cerebral system believes? RIP common sense

Did you watch the video ? If you didn't please watch again before you comment, the bishop was only making a reference on a publication on the Nation's newspaper and his statements was if it is true, meaning he was not sure.

So stop quoting him because those are not his quotes

He started by mentioning the name of the article writer, have you taken your time to find out who he is, by the way who is the owner of the nation's newspaper ?

Corruption loving pastor should go and die.
I don't know why gullible people still go to his Church to be making him richer.

Our sister, I watched the video and because of him, i had to go read the satire which hitherto, I hadn't read.

No sane man would or should mistake Dr Olatunji Dare's piece for anything other than pure sarcasm. It was that obvious.

Once again, will you believe anybody who says the UK govt is helping to negotiate between the FG and a Sudanese family who are laying claims to 50% of Nigerian oil as payment for their part in a deception to fool the entire world?

He also started the Jibrin family part by saying "kanu and his types should get upgraded". Who uses such to qualify a work of 'supreme' intelligence?

My dear, nothing should make you believe it except you're a man who stands to benefit from the mass idiocy it's meant to spread.

At some point, reality always certainly catches up with satire.

Let that sink in.

I don't believe it and from the man of God's comments I don't think he believes it too, the only thing I see there is APC getting a full dose of the propaganda they started, it was never like this until 2015 elections and of of desperation they did a lot of unthinkable things just to get power such kind of people can never be trusted, it's not really about me and you but just for themselves.

So what ever that is being said about the PMB he should come out and defend himself and make it evidently clear to all in Nigeria, but not looking for international meet to speak of issues about Nigeria out there , I believe is handlers are not doing a good job maybe because their skills sets is just on propaganda only

In other words, it's just a retaliation against APC? Nothing to do with truth? Yet oyedepo led thousands in prayers against mere propaganda ochestrated by his party against the APC? I hope you know the implications of what you're saying?

Or you also think it's possible for the UK govt, whose prime Minister came to visit Buhari in August, to be engaged in discussions with a Sudanese family who lay claims to 50% of Nigerian oil in payment for their covering up of 'Buhari's death'?

So what ever that is being said about the PMB he should come out and defend himself and make it evidently clear to all in Nigeria, but not looking for international meet to speak of issues about Nigeria out there , I believe is handlers are not doing a good job maybe because their skills sets is just on propaganda only

It's a tale only to be entertained by idiots and I hope he leaves them wallowing in their dance of shame.

They also said he married his wife when she was 9 years old. Did you also believe that? Do you think he should come out to explain that too?

Ignorant comments.
Oyedepo is already a Man of Knowledge, Direction and Goodness in Christ Jesus.
His Richness is his Savings from above.
His Knowledge is Divine.
Same for Adeboye, Kumuyi, TBJ, Oyakhilome, Osinbajo, Gowon, OBJ and GEJ. God knows them all.

So because majority of Nigerians condemned it doesn't not make it right, by the way how did you arrive at your majority of Nigerians?

I am not a fan of PMB, but I don't believe in all is double body and the rest, but he should not have waited for an international meet to address the issue, what was so difficult for him to arrange a press conference inviting local and international journalist and put an end to all this issues

People condemned Oyedepo not probably cos he is saying the truth or not. As a pastor, spiritual leader for that matter, he wasn't expected to say such. Pastor should leave politics to Politicians.

What will the press conference achieve? Other than to say he's lying about being Buhari? Good for you that you didn't think it possible but just as he ignored the idiots who accused him of raping his Aisha at 9 years old, he should continue ignoring these present idiots too.

There's nothing on God's earth that should make a human being believe that tale but apparently, even the owner of a university who has professors of english literature on his payroll couldn't help himself

Lloydthesaint:
What’s satire
It is the migration of patronage and freebies which inhibits faculties and promotes hallucinations.

When you have four private jets that previously weren't charged parking fees and one Buhari from Daura said that's not God's plan, one can miss that artistic device.
