Against stoke city 2008/2009, vs FC zurich in the 2009/10 season and vs Villareal(Diego Lopez!) in la liga. All of these before messi ever scored a free kick brace.

Calhanoglu scored 13 freekicks in a season(10-11months) compared to messi's 10 in a year!

He tracks back a lot yeah but Vidal is a good box to box midfielder that offers us attacking threat while Rakitic.Then sits in that midfield.Another Box to Box I will like incase Vidal goes is Alan of Napoli.That guy is highly underrated and plays our style of football.Had the highest tackle in Italy last season and already the highest this season.Dont know about his age but is also a perfect replacement of either Vidal or Rakitic.Then again Wage is a problem.

We have a very good squad depth and we should be aiming for champions league this season just that I feel Valverde is going to cost us that this season.Lost only 3 matches the whole last season and apart from the Espanyol game,the 2 other games lost were highly unnecessary.Valverde needs to bring everybody on board if we are to win the champions league this season and rotation is the very key to that

Yea you are right.Juninho is the best free kick taker of all time.Nobody hits knuckle free kick better than him.I appreciate Messi a lot but you have got to give praise where it's due.Juninho got over 100 free kick goals in his career.Who does that?? Messi, Neymar, Mata, Silva, Ronaldinho and Beckham were users of the curve ball technique and you will know none of them ever used knuckle ball; Ronaldo, Calhanoglu, Pjanic, Juninho and the puskas goal of 2016 were all knuckle ball users. It takes a lot to be so consistent. And yeah...it's one of the skill that he has largely built one. He might not be the best in taking freekicks but he has his standards. And i doubt there is anybody here that didn't think the ball was going in immediately he stood up to take the first freekick against espanyol.
