Messi fans should learn from Maradona and CR7 fans, you don't respond to everything that comes out of Pele mouth. Dude thrives on controversy. He's sh*t on fellow Brazilian legends, Maradona, CR7; you think he was going to give Messi a pass? Messi is a one-trick player and that's feinting. One could argue he doesn't need more than that to enter the GOAT conversation. And that should have been it. After all Maradona is also a one-trick player. As for Pele being a fraud. Yes, his achievements may have been overblown, but of all the fellows in the GOAT conversation, Pele is the most versatile. He could do everything on the football pitch. EVERYTHING! He could play at any position. From finishing to goalkeeping. He could dribble solely using body feints like Messi/Maradona or using skills like CR7/Ronaldinho. Speed, acceleration, playmaking, controlling a game. He is not just the ideal #10, he is the ideal player. CR7 may be the biggest sports personality on the planet, Maradona could be a religion, but Pele became football. Dude surpassed all the legends before him, then continued to cast his shadow on every other player to play the game. Pele is to football what Gretzky is to hockey and Ali is to boxing.
