I just don't understand this tribe, ebuka is still Yoruba agaba very soon they will claim they originated it.

Can't you produce your own unique thing for once?

It's because we igbos have no identify, we still other people culture and add it our own..

It's so unfair how the Edo have very rich history and culture unlike our Igbo own

Well I don’t think they steal Our dressing style. We influenced their way of life because we colonized them so they dress like us. Just like we wear suit and dress like Europeans because they colonized us.

the Igbo bride attire is just the same as that of the Edo Bini bride. it's like the minority (Edo) copied and stole it from the majority (Igbo).

Horse tail (Odu horse) is a common igbo tradition held by the female (lolo), you need to travel to east to know more about eastern tradition, most Yorubas don't travel ,no traditional wedding without the lady holding one

Igbo culture is far older than Edo

Igbo influenced Edo culture....like Nri priest gave Edo benin market days, while Awka Smith's thought Edo how to do Smith's while Eze Chime though the Edo how to administer

Benin are just few years ago.... compare Nri history and Benin

Benin even borrowed Igbo words...they are minorities

Is that so,

We decided not to entire the entire east and have it under our control because we saw no economic benefit on their lands

If not you would be speaking edo right now

Wow, you guys really don't know about anything past your village gates. You urgently need to seek a way to travel or read some books, because this type of ignorance is just embarrassing.

You shouldn't be angry we are priding our culture
It is a know fact its a benin hairdress the igbos are wearing

The red coral beads every southerner is wearing is also benin influence

Pounded yam and egusi is a Benin food too

This edo culture is now a general culture to southerners

As much as we edos influenced the igbos we also influenced the yorubas too

TAO12 can testify.....

We love igbos and yorubas adopting our cultures but lieing or claiming its origin is what we frown to like the edo hairdress

Does Nri exist today?

I beg concern yourself with your Osu vs Diala, Okpeke vs Mgbeke, Igbo mainland vs Wawa and worship at the feet of your Supleme Biaflan Reader.

me sef i dont know anything about who stole what from whom
i saw this website one time though that shows pictures from historical igbo land
https://ukpuru.tumblr.com/

igbo people get culture is just that most of them are ashamed of it since all of them are christian and the bible say this one and that one is witchcraft
so am doubting if us igbo people even used to wear what we are claiming cultural attire now, maybe we stole
i know that kingdom of benin was a massive kingdom, most people date it starting around the 11th century so 800 years
