elyte89:That's a very convoluted and delusive use of statistics to present a player as being a world or top class lethal striker. The top players where ever they go they adapt top quality remains top quality. No excuses made or needed. Consider Lukaku or you could look at Jermain Defoe or you could look at our own Obagoal. |

BascoVanVeli:Do you mean the goal that made it 3:2? If yes, that goal got 3 nominations while Samuel Kalu's goal against Libya got 4. So both Musa's goals against Iceland and Kalu's goal against Libya got selected. |

komekn:That can happen to any player. That is why they have study the team before signing. |

I personally nominated that goal. However, it was a very fair process. BascoVanVeli: |

BascoVanVeli:Well, not everyone saw it that way. Anyways it was our 4th best choice. |

BascoVanVeli:No, not politics. You cannot take it away from those Musa's 2 goals against Iceland. People will always remember those goals vividly even in 15 years time. And the Kalus Curler against Libya, haba, go watch that goal again. |

BascoVanVeli:200% correct, however. another thing I have learned what people say and do in football are two different things. There is very little trust and integrity in football. You can not rely on what people say in the first place But also you don't know how long they will be there, so once they leave all promisese and agreements DIE. The only manager that I know that has integrity is Chris Houghton. Sometimes you just dony know what's going to happen for better or worse. At the end of the day na God hand cover everything. |

Oasis007:I think one of the best attributes of a man is to get acclamatized and develop thick skin in every environment u find urself. As far as folks keeps leaving their abodes and go to another mans land for greener pastures, whatever he got served, he should swallow it in good fate. Racism, tribalism can never be eradicated, because they white folks will always see themselves superior to end customers and users like us. We should get this stuck in our mindset, and as such no so much trauma and self guilty will befall us in the face of these racism bullshits |

Some times it is good to go back memory lane and go dig up some of your old posts and see whether anything has changed. My advice to Sunday Oliseh when he was newly appointed Super Eagles coach: https://www.nairaland.com/2445760/oliseh-now-there |

Icon4s:It was a joke na haba. But there was no difference between Kalu's curler and the one Henry scored in Liberia. We are talking about a very nice goal that won an all important match for us. Without that goal we might have gone on to lose on that day because so was the pressure. |

BascoVanVeli:To be completely honest with you, I think Ezenwa is the best goalkeeper we have at the moment. Uzoho makes some good saves, but if we are honest to ourselves, without considering age or club sentiments, Uzoho's shot stopping abilities aren't much better than Ezenwa's, if at all they are .In a team like the SE where we rely on long crosses as we don't have the quality to play out from the back, accurate clearances from the GK is of paramount importance. Have you noticed how horrible Uzoho's ball clearances are?. I wonder why nobody talks about that. Probably because "Uzoho is young and for the future", but senior national teams aren't for grooming players!. That is what clubs and cadet teams are for. Only the very best deserves to don the GWG. I'd play Ezenwa ahead of Uzoho if I were Rohr. |

Fashi, Onyekuru is lightening quick. Rohr needs to fashion out how to utilize that boy just like Musa's speed is being utilized now. |

Icon4s:Ehen,I think ppu only complained and criticized him base on his lack of playing time in his club,wc dey wonder y he keeps getting call ups,wc I also share d same sentiment But on d issue of "national team performance" I don't really knw d group who bashes ezenwa performance, maybe I will take note from now on But on a general note, like I said earlier, both keepers give me same confidence during match play,I can't really c much difference btw dem.my opinion sha ![]() |

Icon4s:Sometimes it's just better to observe from the sidelines. But i can't remember any match right now where Ezenwa was particularly bad. Except maybe the Algeria away game in which honestly, the entire team was piss poor anyway. So what warranted the slaughtering?. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Curtisaxel7(m): 9:15pm On Dec 11, 2018 |
The only misgiving I've had concerning Ezenwa is his club inactivity. That's all. Which is hard to understand considering his heroics in the AFCON qualifying series..... I don't think Uzoho would've performed better against the likes of Cameroon and Algeria. |

elyte89:I vividly remember when the issue of his height was brought up. Majority here do not believe in Ezenwa's abilities. I remember how despite his excellent performances at the CHAN up to the semis where he got injured and there were open celebrations here that he would miss the final so that Ajiboye can prove to Rohr that he was better than Ezenwa. |
