Get your facts, he appended the authorization of funds to cater for internally displaced persons.

There are instances in life where due process isn't the wisest route to solving immediate crisis. Instead of the whole house of rep/Senate drama, he authorised that funds be released for that cause. Now he's a thief because of that.

It's crucial for us as a people to do our due diligence in investigating facts b4 swallowing what someone cooks up. What happened to the part of us that can empathize with others? These are people like you and I who are husbands, fathers and landlords but now have to live in classrooms because of crisis.

This is a man who has no scandal but people would rather just want to soil his name to make them feel good about themselves. We never celebrate our own, lailai. Na so una pursue kemi adeosun because of nysc, the real question is was she functioning well in her field? People can't wait to feast on other people's downfall.

Of all the ways we all know money is being siphoned in this country, the only option he'll then choose is the one that will leave paper trail.

Let us not be bitter people who feel threatened by the successes of others and want to bring others down.

May GOD help us all as a people.

Nigeria have a constitution that applies to all situations irrespective of emergencies.Failure to adhere or being selective to what whims & caprices of the rule of law to obey have been one of the bane of the Buhari/Osinbajo-led APC government.

So sad & shameful that a SAN VP is in a government wherein a president refused to sign a better amended electoral act that will strengthen our democratic process even citing an ECOWAS protocol that the same govt.have blatantly refused to adhere to decisions of its court as regards some of its worst human rights abuses.

Hypocrisy is never a good way of life.So never allow your sentiments to beclouded your sense of sound judgement.

The good part is that your argument is valid and not some ethic or religious based jargons flying around. Regarding some certain issues that threaten the lives of people, discretionary decisions can be made if it's for a genuine cause.

On the VP being part of the government, what I'll say is some battles are better fought from within. If he had chickened out, we'll be the ones to say he's not a fighter. It's a different ball game to say he's corrupt when he's not and because of a singular decision.

We can all agree he's one of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria in terms of good governance and decisive decision making. It's also important to note that while you're not wrong, not everyone will agree with your decisions, it's mostly a battle between you, your conscience and GOD.

One major issue people have with PMB is that he's not a talker. I'm sure he would have been appreciated more if he spoke out more on challenges and what is being done. But we have a VP who compliments that angle.

Not forgetting that we all know being a vice is mostly ceremonial except for this man who has redefined the word Vice. Like BBC reported, the President Nigeria won't have yet.

I know someday he'll be President and he'll be a game changer.

If Okonjo Iweala, a woman that had seen it all could come out to say at an American conference that the SEED OF THIS RECESSION WAS PLANTED DURING THE JONATHAN REGIME DUE TO OUR LACK OF FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE, INABILITY AND LACK OF POLITICAL WILL TO SAVE. People should not blame jonathan alone for this because the profligate Nigerian Governors too are culpable. He attempted to save, but the governors demanded to take all the savings citing constitutional right. Money they took and Stole at the same time. Our case is pathetic.
Do you know that:
Obasanjo's administration earned # 17trn from crude oil sales within eight years and left behind 45bn dollars external reserves and 3.348bn dollars external debt.
Yaradua grew the reserves to 64bn dollars within just one year and the administration was able to finance 15 months of imports despite the 2008/2009 world economic meltdown. Hence, Nigeria survived the melt down because of the political will by the administration to save(a great achievement by Yaradua which most Nigerians are not aware of). Despite the tough economic reality at that time, Yaradua left 47.7bn dollars in reserves and an external debt of 3.94bn dollars. Meanwhile, the administration earned only # 9trn from crude oil sales within that short period.
Now, Jonathan administration witnessed an oil boom when Brent crude sold for over 100 dollars/barrel, with the regime earning # 51trn within a period of 5years. But because of corruption, the administration did not only squander the oil revenue but even depleted the reserves left by Yaradua, leaving just 32bn dollars and a huge external debt of 63bn dollars for Buhari. The same Brent crude sold for as low as 35 dollars/barrel at a point shortly after Buhari took over power and had only managed to climb to about 70 dollars just recently.
These are facts that can be verified. So, it's amazing hearing people criticize Buhari for the hunger in the land.
According to Fashola, Buhari's administration inherited 206 uncompleted road projects and contract arrears worth #2.1trn from Jonathan; and for about 2 to 3 years the contractors where not paid. This slowed down the economic activities, with most of the companies laying off their staff. This was when the seed of recession was sowed.
It's obvious that Buhari came in to rescue Nigeria, because if Jonathan had continued in power, the nation's economic crisis would have been worse, perhaps even the Federal government wouldn't have been able to pay salaries of civil servants by now.
According to Okonjo Iweala, Nigeria started borrowing money to pay salaries since October, 2014; but today Nigeria now borrow money for investment in capital projects.
Those who blame Buhari for the current hardship do so either out of mischief (hatred) or ignorance. So, we shouldn't join the bandwagon in criticising him. He may not have done much to save the situation, considering that he is not a perfect human being but he means well for the country and can only succeed with our prayers.
May Almighty God continue to guide Buhari.
Why not share this piece with others for the sake of enlightenment and conscious prayers for our nation. We av the responsibility to enlighten others.
