I knew it's those people. Imagine discriminating against your own blood sister. That's what they do there. It took the Supreme court to force Igbos to allow females inherit property. Imagine brothers discriminating against blood sisters. 39 Likes 2 Shares |

Lomprico2: When the Supreme Court gave judgement that Igbos should allow females inherit property, it was flatheaded wawa osu dwarfs like you that were insulting the Justices of the Supreme Court. I remember Igbos here on Nairaland saying that the Supreme Court allowed Hausa fulani Justices change Igbo tradition. Discrimination, bias and wickedness is what things like you call tradition. 39 Likes 1 Share |

She's honest enough to admit that the land which their property stands on belongs to Peter. Now the issue is how to resolve it. Either they compensate Peter for his lost land, or they sell off the house to him because HE OWNS THE LAND and can rightfully claim everything that stands on it. At least that's my understanding of land laws. I stand to be corrected. 32 Likes 3 Shares |

To those above me, this is not a case of in-laws coming to claim property after their brothers demise. in this case, the land was sold to the man while the girls father was still building on it. he should accept the other land that was offered to him, and let the widow and her family be 5 Likes |

That man is a thief, he wants to reap where he didn't sow. Relevant authorities should come to their aid. |

Her late dad is at fault sorry to say. Why did he have to build on a land that is being disputed on? According to the lady, Mr Peter already paid for the land and has claims to it. Her dad decided to play a fast one by building on the land so he can lay full claims to the land. The agent that sold the same land to more than one person has some answering to do. 11 Likes 1 Share |

You guys are not reading what is written up there. The case is not about inheritance or any uncle. The family mistakenly built on another man's land. This can be settled amicably by giving him another land, but he is greedy as his eyes are set on taking over the newly built house. May God help them. 9 Likes 1 Share |
