Please don't use that. Look for the Nissan approved Matic D, Matic J or K. Whichever is available.

I am using 5w30 but have been noticing engine oil reduction in my last 2 change; I am on 3k miles at the moment and I have used over 5litre already. Is that normal? Car not smoking and it drives well.

I also notice my gear shifts to neutral when descending and it makes some noise before it then shifts to next gear, though it drives fine but I wonder if this means the ATF fluid requires changing? I have never changed it since I bought it over a year ago. I checked the fluid it's a little above the hot region and the colour is not black, though I don't know the ATF currently in it. If I should change the ATF, what's the recommended fluid

Which oil are you using for your engine?

For your transmission, first point of call is to drain and refill your ATF. Toyota recommends Toyota WS ATF for your car.

Yes you can.. But hopefully the previous oil was the reccomend oil been used ...and no form of abuse

For your engine oil shortage, try switching to a different brand such as the American mobil1 which is different from what you get in their stations here.

The ATF goes for N16k but we can arrange for some discount. 1gallon should be enough for you.

Recommended engine oil is 5w40 Full Synthetic oil

While ATF is Volkswagen/Audi G 052 162,

If they oil cap says, 5w30 than it is ok.. But make sure u use good oil filter.. Castrol USA spec is very good oil ..job well done, very good oil indeed ..

Good job ...most of the oil in naija are fake... most people don't realise that the American engine oil is tailored to American spec cars... please use genuine oil filter, there is no point buying expensive oil ,and than buy 500naira oil filter ...you can always ask on the forum for sellers of oil filter..... Not to be an enemy of progress, I will recommend carquest.......

For future reference, I also sell Mobil oil extended performance . If you can easily bring in your own oil , that is fine too .but make sure you buy enough to last you a year or so ..

Recommended fluid is SAE 5w30 but due to the age of your engine, I'll advise you stick to your current fluid.

Spot on. Try to make sure you have a regular supply too.
