mikeycharles:Obviously, you didn't follow the trend. The electoral act would check electoral fraud.if buhari couldn't read due to his old age, his aides and the vp can do all that for him. The electoral act discourages the use of an incident form in the areas where card readers fail. The report gathered by inec in the 2015 elections showed that the massive incident forms filled out in the north by voters as they claimed the card reader failed them. Same with other zones, excluding the south west. The borno state, which They said was already devastated by boko boys recorded a huge number of votes, with collation of oncodemt forms, running into hindreds of thousands. All these fraud would be addressed with the electoral act. Places where there were vibrant network, they claimed the card reader failed and used incident form for accreditation. APC is in control, they should he the one to encourage this , just like the pdp encouraged the use of a card reader in 2015 elections. There's no big deal about it. |

lonelydora:The document is error ladened, so tell me why must he sign wrong and imperfect document into law. PDP are too desperate. What is wrong with the existing electoral law? PDP is not Nigeria, they are mere inconsequential Nigerians, they can't stampede majority Nigerians because they want to capitalise on the booby trap set in the new electoral act document |

awelekiti:Fallacy, that's what most of what you typed are. So if and when the card readers fail, the losers will then shout voters disenfranchisement abi? And if it is substantial, election has to be repeated or cancelled as the case may be. Even in the USA whom most of you see as perfect, electronic voting a d ma ual voting are allowed. If not for manual recounts, what would have happened to US presidential election between George Bush and AlGore of the Democratic party? There must always be alternatives for system failure/smart card readers in this case |

awelekiti:Yes u are correct that electoral fraud is what the electoral bill will checkmate. But we all didn't want to agree with this man cos of hatred that the bill sent to him to sign has some imperfections according to him and I'm sure no one in his shoe will dare sign it. Well the NASS knows what to do if they feel the bill has to be signed by all means. |

ossy7881:That's an intelligent question. They should make provision for more than one card reader. It uses a sim like our gsm phones. If there's no network on one, there'd be network on the others, simple. I've been keeping one line since 2002 and till now, I hardly have problems using it both for data and voice. Don't mind them, na dem understand all their tricks pass. We the electorate are kept in the dark. They'd arrive at something meaningful at the end of the day, for certain. |
| Re: Electoral Act: APC, PDP Reps Set For Stormy Session Today by Nobody: 12:14pm On Dec 13, 2018 |
kanyebaba1:fallacy you said? Must they use only one card reader? In a situation like this, inec should make provision for more than one card reader. It's just like saying because there's network failure on one line, so you wouldn't make important calls again? If the card reader fails, they can always switch to the other(s). The reader uses a SIM like a gsm phone. If you go to shoprite or a popular mall overseas like Wal-Mart, if your debit/credit card fails , you're advised to provide another card...as an alternative. |
| Re: Electoral Act: APC, PDP Reps Set For Stormy Session Today by Nobody: 12:22pm On Dec 13, 2018 |
BENITAPUSSY:PDP started somethong different in the electoral history in Nigeria. They introduced what could check electoral fraud...The card reader. Unfortunately, it worked against them and That's what we need to be sure every vote counts. We all saw it as a welcome development. No technology is perfect and That's why they must provide more than one card reader. If you're subscribed to a particular ntletwork and you can't make calls with it,you get another line, simple. That said, the electoral bill had been there for long. Buhari has always delayed in accenting to it for a reason best known to him. The national assembly didn't just present it to him. The same national assembly approved the use of a card reader for in 2015 elections. What's buhari afraid of? I'm not in support of filling-in any incident form this time. It's a fraudulent means of voting. |

Muttee:Including underage voting like in 2015 elections, keep deceiving gullible nigerians thinking you're being smart, a bill you helped in passing in the National Assembly now it has become faulty because you and your party have perfected plans to rig the election through multiple and underage voting. Anyway it is zoneBs like you that you that couldn't read the Handwriting on the wall that you're deceiving not other sensible nigerians like me. ![]() |

| Re: Electoral Act: APC, PDP Reps Set For Stormy Session Today by Zona123(m): 12:52pm On Dec 13, 2018 |
BENITAPUSSY:Before you make your claims, get your facts right, before the 2015 general election, the electoral bill was amended that was what brought about the card reader you have today and even before then, there has been other amendments, this is not the first time and if tiff watched NTA's good morning NIGERIA, the Senate leader who is a member of this government stated it clearly that there's nothing wrong with amending electoral bills as many times as possible if the needs arises, because the world is changing and so are electoral processes, so because the world is evolving, issues not witnessed in previous elections could pop up in subsequent elections and what do you expect the national assembly to do in order to manage those issues order than amending the already existing bills. And don't forget that all these APC lawmakers making all these noise are part of the national assembly and have thy majority in the house that passed the bill before forwarding it to the président. Now ask yourself why they suddenly started making noise about a bill the passed in the national assembly or are you trying to tell me that they were forced to support the bill by the PDP lawmakers? |
