For a country with your population to be a superpower, it must be run extremely well. However, Nigeria is one of the worst run countries in the world. We love to see Kenya as poorly run but when we look at Nigeria, we feel like we aren't so badly off.

Two, you love seeing yourself as hardworking but you'll never know the definition of hardworking until you visit countries such as Japan or Westen Europe. The problem with Africans is we think being busy is being hardworking. You walk into African cities and see everyone on the move hurrying and you think they're working but look at their productivity - you can't compare to Europe. Go to an African office, too many staff but you'll sit the whole day waiting for something as simple a signature. Meanwhile you'll see workers just there drinking tea, chatting and on Facebook all through.

No HDI measures human development like lifespan, illiteracy access to health care e.t.c not economic wealth. Qatar is richer than the United States but US ranks high on HDI. In short hdi measures the quality of life, you can be worth 50,000 in Qatar but a person worth 10,000 will have a better life.
