Now that is the point. The government was using corruption fight as excuse for poor economy when the two are not mutually exclusive

We hear the news of retrieved funds like everyday. Until these funds are beneficial to Nigerians, they are just words on paper which they had always been.
Don't know what you were told I was told but I agree with Obi 100%. Get Nigeria working and Corruption dies a natural death. Buhari's current plan simply gets rid of his opposition and fosters corruption all the way to the grassroots.
