Now thats why we are fans. After the heated argument and now this. Respect!

grin na una no just want understand my point. Samu can go to Madrid and easily bench Asensio no doubt, but Barcelona is more concerned with passing triangles and they do not play wingers instead they use inside forwards, Samu is not used to these things so he will not be able to bench these guys that have been practicing it for a year or more. If he stays in Barcelona for a year then maybe he would learn it but passing triangles and stuffs isn't his style of play, he would rather take on his man and in Barca taking on your man should not be your first nature, so I think he may struggle in Barcelona but any other club in the world that suits his style of play? He may make it there. I do hope this puts an end to this idea that I am trying to water down his abilities

That's a wrong match, that's a match of last season, Samu Castillejo is different from Samuel Chukwueze

Mickael2:

Sister see what you said here, that he can bench some Barca players meaning he is better than them, I mean you can't bench somebody that is better than you so who started the comparison?

Those players were not on the pitch because they are Barca players, Denis Suarez and Malcom will make the Villarreal team with their eyes closed. I am trying as much as I can to ignore that part containing Messi because it is absolutely ridiculous, how did he outshine Messi who had an assist to boot? I was starting to believe that my memory of the game might be a bit hazy but then please visit this link

https://m.sportskeeda.com/football/barcelona-5-1-villareal-player-ratings

Samu Castillejo: 5/10This was again a game to forget for Castillejo, who has been one of Villarreal's better players this season, barring this fixture. He struggled to cause too many problems and his final passes were poor. He failed to provide any end product as the yellow submarines struggled to score.Rodri: 6/10
Just in case you don't want to open it. If I remember correctly he was okay in the first ten minutes or so then faded badly dropping from a rating of 7 or so to almost 5, how is that him outshining Messi? Even Alena came in, let us not be blinded by useless sentiments please

So to answer your question in simple terms, when Suarez was still playing Dembele and Coutinho were playing as well because Messi wasn't available. And at the start of the season when all of them were fit Dembele started 6 out of the first seven games. Do you have any other question?

Now that's good, oya back yo the main topic, would Dembele have had the kinda impact he had in that match if he had occupied the position, Coutinho played in?

Yes why not? That was the position he occupied against Espanyol and had a better game, a goal and an assist for Suarez. However he didn't occupy that position in that match so I cannot say if he would have had the same impact but considering that Espanyol have been a better team than Villarreal this season I think I can say yes, he would have had a better game if Coutinho wasn't there. Dude is double footed mind you

Did I hear u say Chuks is a direct winger? Dude the Dembele u so exhalt is even more direct in his wing play than Chuks bkus unlike Chuks, he drifts outwide a lot. Chuks thrives in picking pocket passes and releasing his better positioned mates, he likes cutting in to exchange passes with his mates thats why u see him in the middle sometimes operating like an AM. Chuks is the more Barca kinda player than Dembs was before he was bought from Dortmund.

So you know relegation zone is transient and you thought it was sensible using it in describing Villarreal as a club in an attempt to make a point that wasn't there to be made.

Not attacking your person but that was not very clever. I know you will continue digging up a hole for yourself on this matter. I trust you.

No long ting.

Simple question is Villarreal in the relegation zone Yes or No

That's not exactly true.

But you called Villarreal a relegation team, you didnt mean the zone, dont judge a team by the current situation

I am very sure that after the first 2 games in the EPL in which arsenal lost, they should be in the 18 does that make them a relegation team?

How do you even talk football? Coutinho was out injured, was Malcom supposed to bench Messi or am I missing something? Do you think that if Malcom and Countinho are in Villarreal they will miss a single minute of action? The comparison is ridiculous by the way

You go just De goof anyhow, presenting false info on here to support your argument.

Haba brother.

OK let me make it perfectly clear here that Samu is totally talented, heck I was the one defending him the other day against Komekn, so what is wrong with my attitude towards him?

OK see, Vidal was the backup then, he came in late and managed to score. Back then Barca's bench was totally poor, and luckily for Vidal he could play as a fullback as well as a wing forward so he got minutes, last season even Denis Suarez was always on the bench. But the crux of the matter is that as at now the players that he will have to compete with for a spot are Coutinho, Malcom, Messi, Dembouz, Alena and Denis, the last two for me are better than him (although you can argue that because you probably haven't watched them well enough) with respect to Barca's style of play, so do you really see him making Barcelona's bench or even playing Copa games? So if someone says the truth that means he hates a player? Kai Aboki na, come off that stuff, I used to think it was below you

This is the mentally displayed by quite a few here.

If you do not join the euphoric hallelujah praise and worship of Chukwueze, you are therefore demonised and HATER.

Any kind of constructive criticism and or objective based appraisal is WICKEDNESS from Hell.

I think you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

ehy limit to 2018?

Why is your statement not a general one? You call Villarreal a relegation club, did you limit it to 2018 or is your modification only out of necessity because you have managed to have a foot-in-mouth moment and ate now hurriedly trying to cover your mess?

Is the 2018 relegation table different from 2016 or 2015 or even 2005? Or is it just the teams that are different?

You can hail your FBs all you want and rate your English clubs, but refrain from insulting clubs in better leagues than the EPL in a bid to pass your point.

All 7 La Liga clubs made it to the next round of the UCL, SEVEN, the idea that the EPL teams are better than those from such a league is laughable.

Specifics and detail determine the substance not conjecture or assumption. You should really know that.

Lecture 2, it seems l need to explain in depth for you not to comment out of context or misrepresent the substance of the discourse.

A club in the relegation zone is facing relegation. The longer you spend in relegation zone the higher your chances of being relegated.

In general the bottom six clubs in a league are considered to be in the relegation zone.

When towards the end of the year that is around December and in beginning of the year that is January. You find yourself still in the relegation zone. You are now in a precarious relegation battle of survival or face the drop.

The proposition statement above is not time specific.

That's the substance of my comments on the subject of relegation zone. There is no change or moving of goal posts.

We are talking principles or football management and structure, that are obtainable across Europe not just England.

So on to next question last for today game go soon start sorry

Oviemuno.

Read link and update yourself essentially off the record there are other clubs interested in him and he is finding a way out.

STEVEN GERRARD fears Ovie Ejaria wants to rip up his Rangers loan deal and return to Liverpool.

Gerrard remains a fan of the England Under-21 cap, who has been a mainstay of the Light Blues team this season with 23 starts and five substituted appearances. Daily express

Ejaria has made 28 Rangers appearances, with all but five being starts.

But he was also dropped for last month's Europa League draw with Villarreal and was on the bench for Sunday's 1-1 draw away to Dundee.

Asked if it had been a long-standing issue, Gerrard said: "I've been made aware of it quite recently and so have Liverpool."

The manager explained that he so far had only had a chance to have a "quick chat" with Ejaria and decided to leave him behind "for the benefit of the group".

"I will be speaking to Ovie today and will be speaking to Liverpool today and we'll discuss what's next for the player," he added.

Is it Cout that is more defensively disciplined than Dembouz? Come on man, for starters Coutinho no longer plays in midfield because of his lack of defensive awareness, it used to put a lot of pressure on Busquets so he was dropped. Both of them are defensively deficient but Dembouz is a better option if you want to play a defensive game thanks mainly to his pace.

I have been on this forum since sometime 2009,i think i started commenting on nairaland last year,i am not the type who cause problem just as most of you see me here.

If i dont find this thread interesting i dont think i will be commenting on nairaland

I also visit the romance section where there are so many ladies but you wont find me insulting any of them there, but here you guys think otherwise,i dont know who some of you are trying to impress.

They called me a troll but i have only been banned once on nairaland because of heated argument and insults between me and the same lady so that should speak a lot about this.

I am not here as a troll or to worship anybody,i am not here to please anyone i am here to say my mind thou most times i might be wrong, I am not here to asslicked anyone so i will be loved by others.

When that same lady is rude to others most of you wont see any fault or you wont even say she is bullied by guys when she was small, why is she the only female i have had argument with? What about others female on nairaland seems i am a troll as you some said.

I dont know if you are speaking to be on the good side of anyone because most of you guys speak as if you are scared of someone.

Why haven't i exchange heated argument with the ladies at other section on nairaland? why only this lady? i comment frequently on this sport section doesn't means i dont visit other section.

I am a lover of football,I have nothing to prove to most of you guys here okay,we are all different type of people and we have different personality
