Obeflacko: Its not only In Rivers that Ruggedity is a culture the other states I listed plus some places in lag also has Ruggedity as a culture. A reason that I didn't put other states like Onitsha and Aba is cuz they don't posses this quality. |

lordpherow98:Edo is not as rugged as portharcourt. The only dreaded place in Edo is ekosodin. I lived there for some years. Cultism thrives there like an English ivy in a pond. Ask acecube, he used to be the capon of a very deadly fraternity before he was arrested by the rapid response squad. As I'm speaking, he's typing from the kuje maximum security prison, Abuja 2 Likes |

abdulkayus:You dey mind them! Personally, I'd define ruggedity to mean having instincts to survive harsh economic, social, marital and even financial conditions without having to get involved in cultism and other social vices. That's ruggedness and not the robbing, pickpocketing, maiming etc slangs being thrown around to describe ruggedness on here. 1 Like |

Hybridz: I get ur point, but even at that you find that those that grew up in south south easily cope outside when compared to how outsiders cope in the south south |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by Hybridz: 5:43pm On Jan 11, 2019 |
fero007:Now,you're talking about ruggedness in people and not in places.if it's that, then the Igbos get the nod over others. To your point, well,I've not really mingled with ample south southerners to buttress your point. Majority of the few ones I've encountered or befriended were "bread and buttered" outside their region of origin. Aldou,d few minority showed tenacity and lots of instincts to survive but it's a small sample size if you ask me. |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by fero007: 8:47pm On Jan 11, 2019 |
Hybridz: we're talking of ruggedness in states not people, don't put words in my mouth I think its cuz you've not met many SSners (most people don't even know who we are talk less of what we can do) if not you'll know who taught Igbos how to be rugged. Jus try n visit PH or Warri and move round you'll see what i mean |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by Hybridz: 10:26pm On Jan 11, 2019 |
fero007:@ the bolded, you talked about people and not the places,as the subject matter implies. Igbos still beat others when it comes to ruggedness and south southerners are not even close bro. We got the yorubas after the Igbos. As for places, i will reserve my comments for now. |

viscerion:You have a problem with basic understanding. The fact that you emphasizing on Lagos further buttresses my point. Read the title of the thread again and come make a meaningful submission. Only then will I respond to ur subsequent mentions. As for this,it's not worth my time. Meanwhile, you should Check up the meaning of ruggedness. Gracias! |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by viscerion: 5:10pm On Jan 12, 2019 |
Hybridz: it's obvious you're one of those who only argue for arguing sake cos u didn't make any point in that statement, anyone with a real point to make can say it in simple language and not dodge questions or go off point |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by Hybridz: 6:38pm On Jan 12, 2019 |
viscerion:All you've said is bayelsa guys in ajegunle blablabla. Lagos seems to be your only place of reference for the rugged people. For you to even underrate yoruba ruggedness and tell me i've not gone beyond southwestern states is laughable. You think I'm like u who analyses ruggedness of people in their comfort zones right. Heck nah! How you even qualify extortion, robbing and laziness as rugged is what i would never understand....hian! The gods of rational reasoning would not forgive me if I continue to argue this with you...take care bro! |
Re: 5 Most Rugged States In Nigeria. by Sinistami(m): 8:27pm On Jan 12, 2019 |
Hybridz: Yoruba Rugged Keh!! I agree igbos can be rugged o! But Yoruba people that haven't seen anything. Lag weh cultist they wan use me and my Bro count scores before into Shenkes mata. Nai we vex perform wan trick weh we de do well well for BY. We pulled our clothes and turned our bear backs to then and said: " We don giv una our back to butcher o! so make una do o! but if una matchet once no kill us ehn!! then una go know who be who. Una go knw say Millitant full ground" And that's when they cooled down. And now we and dem na padi. if its Igbo land I haven't really gone farther than Aba and Onitsha, and its only for once only for market but I have peeps that have stayed at IMO and Enugu for like four years. And were not qualifying Lazyness Robbery and Extortion for ruggedness were only saying peeps who can survive around here are rugged. Hence the South South Centric list. |
