Work history (provide reference)
Personal history (everything you have been doing for the past 10yrs including work history, no reference letter)

intswagga:
Congrats to ITA clinchers,
Please I want to submit my profile on CIC but am a bit confused, I read there were supposed to be two places showing work experience and personal work history where someone can input his/her details but am just seeing work history ( and that’s supposed to be the one you do not provide references for) so which is the one I would be providing reference for??

It’s okay dear. You will only be able to fill in your personal history post ITA. For now, you are only required to state the work experience(s) for which you intend to claim points. No documents are needed at this stage.
I hope this helps.

Chai! Left for me I would say she decline and be hopeful for another draw. You elders have never been in support of this "without accompanying" thing which is very true. Yes, the fear of IELTS maybe if draws no happen early but it's worth taking the risk. Like they say, All die na die. I know this is dicey but that's my 2 cents. 443 should really suffice in the next draw hopefully.
joo2018:
I guess the whole family just has to prayerfully decide whether to take the risk.

Decline,
a. hopefully get ITA on 2nd (or earlier), rush to apply before 7th.
b. no draw, you rewrite IELTS, pass and the whole family goes.

Accept and go unaccompanied.

I tried to do a trend analysis for you, but the information is not consistent.

Draws:
#80 – December 20, 2017
#81 – January 10, 2018

#50 – December 22, 2016
#51 – January 4, 2017

#23 – December 18, 2015
#24 – January 6, 2016

May God guide you and give you wisdom.

Congratulations to everyone who has clinched IELTS, wrapped up ECA, gotten PPR and ITA within this period. I celebrate with you. May our joy be full! I'm still on the ECA journey, and DELSU has been a major challenge. It has been one story or the other...almost a month since I paid 25k for verification (after paying 30k for transcript) and several sorting in between. But, I'm not even about to temper with this testimony God is preparing for me, so I'll not complain. There is a reason for this interlude...let GOD take control. #Canada2019 (someone put this up here and I like it too! grin)

I have been unable to view my Dec 1st result but I just got the TRF today. LRWS 8.5,7,7.5,6.5. this is my third attempt (mod).
This is the first time I've got an 8 in listening, 7 and 7.5 previously, speaking has always been 7.5. I don't know if I should remark this result. so painful.
I know I wasn't impressive with speaking cue card, but I think I deserve a 7.

Please remark

Thanks for your message,

I think we have reconciled ourselves to going with option 1 too. Our scores currently with my spouse as accompanying and my current age is 443. I don't think its wise to take the risk that the last draw of the year will fall to 440. I will go on with my current ITA with spouse un accompanying. A bird in hand....

Well, CIC shocked everyone! I hope you had changed your spouse to accompanying. All the best.

Good morning people,

Your advice will be appreciated please....

I am the PA. We had received ITA in september 2018. At the point of submission in November, i realised that my husband's IELTS had expired. After exploring all options, we had to decline the ITA. While back in the pool, I adjusted my profile - my husband as un accompanying spouse. I received another ITA in November -449 cut off (My score without my husband as accompanying was 451). A few days after receipt of ITA, I had a birthday.. In the meantime my husband registered for the 1st of December IELTS. After plenty research, I came to the conclusion that it was possible to make a spouse accompanying after receipt of ITA...providing that the score after adding the spouse meets up to or exceeds the cut off for the draw from which you received an ITA from (In this case, cut off of 449). Unfortunately, my husbands IELTS results came out as 8.5,6.5,6.5,6.5. If I add my husband to the current ITA I have now, the score falls below the cut off of 449. My choices as I see it now are as follows:

1. ahead with the ITA I currently have in which my husband is an un accompanying spouse (please not my IELTS expires on the 7th of January)
2. Decline the ITA I currently have. In this case, I go back into the pool. With my current age and husbands results our score will be 443....then hope and hope that the next ITA will have a cut off of 440 or 442.
3. If the next ITA is above 445, it means I will need to write IELTS again in January. IF I max out on IELTS points, our total points will be about 448.

I feel like a bird in hand is worth more than 10 in the bush oooo. I feel that I should go on with the current ITA I have. If all works out we can apply for spousal sponsorship in future....I have heard that spousal sponsorship is hard... how true is this? What would you all advice?

Thanks a lot

I hope you rejected that ITA. Congratulations

SO IF I HAD DECLINED MY PREVIOUS ITA...OUR SCORES WOULD HAVE BEEN 443 AND WE WOULD HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THIS DRAW... WITH MY HUSBAND AS ACCOMPANYING.

I TIRE.

CONGRATS TO ALL WHO RECEIVED ITA TODAY AGAINST ALL HOPE!

Awwww just saw this message. I know this journey can be frustrating but if the only reason your spouse is not going is because of IELTS then you should reconsider. Scores this year have gone down to 440 before today's draw. I still think retaking the exam by both of you is the best way. Spousal visa is quite tedious, spousal visa with VO in Accra is something else. Check Canada visa.com to see people's story.
Take deep breaths from today's disappointment and forge ahead.

IF I DONT GET IN THE NEXT ONE THEN I HAVE TO WRITE IELTS AGAIN.

The journey is dynamic for everyone. Since your Hubby was not planning to follow the family initially, i think you should be at peace with your decision and move on. Except you are sure you have the ability to Max out IELTS according to your calculations

Family of 4

Decision to travel was in April 2018, had checked a couple of years ago but lawyers were not eligible. After hearing that a lawyer friend had done it and gotten it, decided to look into it.

I was meant to be the primary aphplicant, hubby and I both have masters, but I have a sibling who is a Canadian citizen so we felt showing the relationship will be easier, found out later that it made no difference.

IELTS: We decided to write separately thankfully.

My first Attempt June 2nd, 2018 LRWS 8.5 9 6.5 8 (was not on this forum yet so only looked at Jay videos night before the exam) booked July 7th immediately and ordered for remark which came back unchanged.

Hubby first Attempt June 30th, 2018, really focused on writing LRWS 9 9 7 8.5

My 2nd Attempt: LRWS 9 8.5 6 8.5 Hubbys result had not come back so I had to give it my all, unfortunately center was disorganized we did not start till 11am and started with writing because we had to wait for earphones from another center. I had studied the writing better and started with task 1 and had almost finished when I noticed I everyone was using the red sheet whilst I was using the black one. Well, it seemed awon aye ti tele mi de exam hall (my village people were present). I asked for a new sheet and the invigilator blatantly refused said I should erase it, this delayed me, and I was barely able to finish task 2 talk less of reading through.
Hubby result came out a week before mine and once it was out, we decided he will be the PA.

ECA: Hubby July 27 Me: August 3 submitted application on May 1st, 2018, also did not know we could do only masters, so we did our 1st degree and even law school (covers face).

*Entered the pool August 3, 2018 (CRS 464)
*ITA August 8, 2018
*AOR August 20, 2018
*RPRF Upfront
*MEP Sept 15
*Biometrics Sept 19
VO: No idea
Ghost Update: October 16 (Suspect it may have been Background processing commencing because application was IP2 from the onset.
*ADR: Nov 17 Details of Government Employment for Hubby (Had put a stint with a government agency in his personal history), it currently still read reviewing additional document provided.
* Ghost Update: December 14.
*Extensive travel history between us with several to Canada
****PPR: Dec 18

POF

Funds were being saved in my account as I was supposed to be the primary applicant, we were a bit confused when that changed but we decided to write a LOE stating that hubby had access to the money in my account for the application. Provided bank letter for both of us.

EMPLOYMENT

Letters from present and past employers with the same NOC for all jobs. I was a JJC so I put my work experience pre ITA but was able to easily get references.

SIBLING POINT

My sibling birth certificate did not have our parents name, but I provided it, my own birth certificate, her data page and utility bill. I wrote a LOE stating that her birth certificate did not have our parents name but that they could confirm the name from the records they had of her. I guess this would not have been an issue because I had obtained visas on her invitation before.

The wait is crazy, I always thought once I submit I will just focus on other things, but alas I became obsessed checking on any progress.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the help and resources, newbies please read page 1 it cannot be over emphasized.

Ordinarily I would advise that she decline the ITA and retake IELTS. I know that no how no how, there must be a draw of less than 443 early next year.
But with this epidemic of 6.5 in writing, its a risky gamble. What if she doesn't make the IELTS scores until her next birthday? With a CRS of 443, she can't afford to lose any points.
However, if she's very confident in her IELTS capabilities, she should absolutely decline and go with hubby. Sponsorship is no joke
But the safer option is to submit with the current ITA, and sponsor hubby later
