Another trash,is earth the only planet in the universe undecided what of planets where thanos already killed half of the people before the snap undecided let's not forget animal and plant life

BlackManta:

In 10 years population will rise significantly by 830 million.
In 45 years population of 3.5 billion has doubled.

Go and do a little research on world population growth before you start talking nonsense.

what ?? So as it stands in 45 years there will be 14 billion people on earth??

Population in the world is currently (2018) growing at a rate of around 1.09% per year (down from 1.12% in 2017 and 1.14% in 2016). The current average population increase is estimated at 83 million people per year.

Using this current statistics and IF the rate of population growth doesn't get any lower.

Yes there will be 14 billion in the world in the next 45 years.

But hopefully that will not happen because more people are learning about family planning and other ways to prevent pregnancy.

The rate of population growth is going down.
It was 1.14% in 2016
1.12% in 2017 and 1.09% in 2018.

Let's go back to the basics using the current world population.

According to research, the estimated population of the world is 7 billion people.

Thanos wipes out half.

3.5 billion survive.

Population in the world is currently (2018) growing at a rate of around 1.09% per year (down from 1.12% in 2017 and 1.14% in 2016). The current average population increase is estimated at 83 million people per year.

Using the current statistics...

Population will increase by 830 million every ten years.

In 45 years 3.5 billion will double back up to 7 billion.

This is a simple math...

I don't know why these Marvel fans will not get it.
One of them was quoting 200 years because he lives on Pluto... He knows nothing about Earth.
your math is taking in account the breeding of 7 billion people not 3.5billion...so the fundamentals of your math is flawed...

Thanos ended half the life of the universe not just earth ...so what you see as unethical may have saved countless lives across countless planets...

Why do you feel the answer is food "Why not double food and put an end to world hunger using reality stone." What about land ...he should create food for the countless planets and while he's at it he should create spare planets for them to store the food and land for when the population outgrows the planet

I don't know the population of Titan, Knowhere or whatever fictional planet in Marvel universe.

I'm dealing with the real one here... Earth.
I have data and statistics for this particular planet.

You want to throw statistics away cuz I don't know the breeding power of 3.5 billion people.
Sorry bro... I will not forge numbers in my head.
So I will make use of the current statistics for today's world to set an example.

And when you put that into consideration...world population growth is already a problem.

Thanos may be saving other fictional planets but definitely not Earth.

you don't need to know the population of those "fictional" planets you just need to grasp the scope of what thanos did ....again reiterating that earth was not the only planet thanos halved its life...earth was not the reason thanos did what he did more life a very minute fraction of a much larger whole

So you'll make use of the statistics that obviously does not apply to this numbers because you do not want to forge numbers?? ...okay...

Earth in the marvel universe is completely fictional ...unless you can show me billionaires with flying suits or green gods or actual gods ...I'll settle for seeing wakanda tho...

Earth may be fictional in marvel universe.

But it is only real planet there is with life.

There is data and statistics for the planet we know.

So we use it to make an example.

Population growth in one planet is already a problem.

The last paragraph.

This is the lamest excuse I have seen.

Take a look at the world you live in and tell me that humans are running out of land.

There is so much empty land in the world.
What humans are lacking is housing.
Population is growing and humans are looking for places to live.
So more estates are built and more cities are developed.

Take a road trip or a plane to another state in Nigeria.
When you are in a plane, do look down.
You will see the massive stretch of empty land with no houses or infrastructures.
Just trees and vegetation.

Humans are not running out of land.. Duh.

Humans are running out of land and available resources here on planet earth. That's not fiction.

However the marvel universe is fiction.

Aquaman was nominated in top 20 list for Oscars but did not make top 10 list.
That is shocking for a movie with groundbreaking visuals.

It will win many awards for its visuals next year.
But for Oscars it will never be nominated again.

Thanos' entire reason for what he did was for the long run ....the universe is finite ...so eventually resources will run out ...eventually there'll be more mouths to feed than there is food the feed them...so how do you fix this you reduce the mouths ..its that simple... In the movie the things he created reverses back to normal once he wasn't there ...so creating food is out of the question because it will just turn back to what it was when he leaves

Again you are failing to understand that earth was not the only planet ...he needed something that will work across the board ...a one size fits all kinda solution ...if earth was the only planet and he had the infinity stones he sure as hell wouldn't end half the lives on it

Let's say your statiscally incorrect 45 years regeneration theory applied ...then you're saying of the possible Million's of planets that thanos' solution worked for.... earth being the exception (not entirely so as it increased time) means his entire plan was wrong??....

If you were in his shoes seeing as he predicted the same thing for his home planet and the result was its destruction ....what would you do ?? Concerning all the planets in the universe

I am not statistically incorrect cuz I'm using current statistics for population growth in 2018.

Using that as an example Earth's population will double in 45 years.

Let's apply logic here..

Thanos wiped out half of population cuz resources are not enough to cater for them.

Population is cut in half.
If resources are not enough, plant and animal resources included.

The so called plant and animal resources which is not enough in the first place will be cut in half.

So the problem remains,
Population still outweighs resources (plant and animal)
Which is the major resources for food.

There is no balance here.

Let's apply some logic.

Thanos wiped out half of life across the universe.

Because population outweighs resources.

He wants to balance it.

Population is cut in half.

Plant and animal life which constitute the major resources for food are also cut in half.

Mind you... Plant and animal resources are not enough in the first place to cater for the populace consuming it to survive.

At the end of day.
Population still outweighs plant and animal resources.

Balance

Epic FAIL.

Transformers 2, $200 million, 19% T-meter

Transformers 3, $195 million, 35% T-meter

Transformers 4, $210 million, 18% T-Meter

I've seen all the movies on your list... Indeed mind bending movies my kinda movies actually.. You forgot to add

Black swan
Lobster man
Anhilition
2001 a space odessy
Inception
Donnie darko
Eraser head
Brazil
Coherence
Enter the void
Primer
Time traveler

So I got to watch Eraserhead, not blown away by this masterpiece maybe cos for it's category it's simple not so much 'mind bending' like Mulholland drive or pi both seem to have got their inspirations from the movie. Was expecting much dialogue but it's almost none existent. Some of scenes are unbelievably great with so little dialogue. My favorite is when Henry ignores his baby, all he wants to do is get down with the sexy seductive neighbor goes over to her door knocks no answer comes back disappointed, still ignoring the baby then he hears footsteps, rushes out and sees the lady with an old man. Pissed off closes the door, switches off the light peeps through the keyhole but sees nothing since they went in closing the door. The baby seems to laugh at this petty desperation.
This is a 'mad man's movie' so annoyingly creepy. I was almost in a trance at the beginning cos I was cooking beans and boiling water on a hot plate and the sound just synced and amplified the movie sound, no talking just noise, got me scared a bit lol
The movie deals with life problems of a struggling adult involving an unexpected pregnancy and sexual fantasy so well. Great job by the director. 7/10.
BTW Henry's hair is 10/10 grin Bruno Mars' inspiration it seems grin

Thanos motive in the movie sounds reasonable but also ridiculous. It constitute one of the main criticism of the movie. Wiping half of the universe doesn't mean the population will not increase again, in fact it will take continous annihilation of half of the universal population to keep things in check. If this is the case, then, procreation and family is pointless in the universe.
You've made a very convincing argument especially with your stats. There is no need for you to continue with this argument, the fan boys can never agree with you.
