If the Igbos are asked to vote PDP because of Obi and a chance to have an Igbo president, is isn't tribalism. But if the Yorubas are asked to vote APC because of Osibanjo and a chance to have a Yoruba president, it becomes tribalism.
Don't mind all those igbos with their upside down pattern of reasoning.

They just love deceiving themselves.

I'm a Yoruba but I'm dissapointed in the utterances of the Vice President. How could you say the north will handover power to the south-west in 2023 with the commitment that the southwest will vote for buhari in 2019. Why cant they campaign with achievement rather than resort to ethnic division. I'm highly dissapointed in him. This country can never move forward if people in sensitive positions reason like this.

When I posted this on a political thread, I was not only insulted, some people even called for my outright ban for being tribalistic, I was not move by those mentions though, being that as it may, I was disapointed in some foolish Yoruba who also insulted, they could foolishly not see beyond their noses
Though I didn't read that post of yours, but permit me to tell you these.

1. I'm a full-blooded Yoruba who has lived and worked amongst the major ethnic groups in Nigeria.

2. Whenever I see an educated Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa reason like yours, I'm only reminded of the fact there are more illiterates than literates among the educated in Nigeria.

3. Now to your point: what should inform the choice of an enlightened mind in the coming election, are the following:
a. How did my life fair before PMB came into office and how's it now?
b. Does PMB have the mental strength for governance?
c. Who knows a man most? His wife, children or business associates?
d. Will you still employ a man whose wife told you pointedly that he's a failure?
e. How just is PMB with his fake anti-corruption fight?
f. What happened to the following gates? Mainagate, Babachirgate, NNPC gate, Ikoyi gate, KemiAdeosun gate, Shittugate and even Buhari gate?
g. Are we more united or divided as a nation?

Do I care whether it's Osinbajo, Obasanjo or Obi? Only weak minds vote along ethnic lines.

Apparently, the best of presidential candidates are neither in APC or PDP, but since those are the only two parties with political structures for winning national elections, it only makes sense to choose one out of the two. And the last time I checked, Atiku possesses all the good presidential attributes we can't find in that disappointment, called Buhari.

@op, osinbajo will not resign and nigerians will still vote for buhari/osinbajo. As long as we fail to remove sentiments from our actions we will never move forward as a country. We have seen nigerians trying to bring down davido because they like wizkid and vice versa. We see nigerians trying to talk down on any music by peter because they prefer paul, and vice versa.
Naija politicians know how to play us. We vote them in and they start embezzling our money without doing jack but come the next election they will use just a little to buy our votes. We are all witnesses to how bad buhari's regime has been but nigerians are still willing to vote him again because of sentiment. I've heard someone say that he's willing to let nigeria burn under buhari so that a yoruba man can become president in 2023.
Shame on us.

Nonsense! Igbos are republicans and PDP is our own republican reflection!

You shut up from your bigotry. Of Course, their Interest has always been better protected with PDP. That was why twice buhari contested with igbo VPs he was rejected.

Even ikemba himself couldn't defeat the pdp!

Hope You are old enuff not some political newbird!

As long as it is Buhari that will be President,an average Igbo man WILL NOT VOTE Buhari!!!..There has been open and muted promises to Igbos of producing the Prseidency if we vote buhari, but a resounding No has been the response so far..

.We knew and know what he is capable of which are all in the negatives going by the harrowing experiences Nigerians/Igbos have been made to go through in tnis last three years..

Buhari had contested with an Igboman as his VP proir to his 2015 success with a Yorubaman but was rejected by most Igbos none-the-less so what crappy comparisms are you making here??..

..Now there is nothing wrong with Yorubas clinging to any opportunity to be the President, but pitching their tent with someone like buhari inspite of all Nigeria and the AVERAGE Nigerian us going through no thanks to Buhari is what most find, shocking and repugnant..

EOD.

PROF YEMI OSIBANJO SHOULD RESIGN - Pact convener
https://mrrightsng..com/2018/12/prof-yemi-osinbajo-should-resign.html?m=1

Full statement

Prof Yemi Osibanjo has dropped the final card, the ethnic card is one which only desperate politicians use, I remember meeting with him in November last year where we deliberated on very important national issues but I noticed we were all Christians.

It's quite unfortunate that the ruling party does not have projects and results to use to campaign but rather would resort to using ethnicity in our already dangerously divided nation.

A man of Osibanjo's credentials should never been seen peddling such garbage, the nation today is in desperate need of a true visionary leader not some ethnic jingoistic individuals, presidency 2023 should never even be in the bargain for now, but it's obvious they don't care, it's to them about power and who sways it.

I am disappointed in the person of Yemi Osibanjo, a supposed pastor who suddenly has become a tribalistic politician who sees nothing wrong with his decapitated administration that is being controlled by two individuals which him and the president cannot control.

He is a man that should stand up for the new generation, lead by example but unfortunately he got consumed by the flames of power and the luxuries of office, he goes from market to market in attempt to deceive gullible market women and use the pictures ad videos for political optics, yet the business of governance is unattended to.

The trader Moni is one that would come back to haunt Oluyemi Oluleke Osibanjo for the remainder of his life, you created poverty and use the same poverty as a weapon of war against the innocent people, you deceive them with 10,000 that cannot buy you recharge card for a week, what in the world could explain wickedness more than that singular act? Why not create an enabling environment for the children of these poor women to get productive jobs and look after their parent?

The man who was a shining star of this administration has just thrown it all away, it's unfortunate that he still speaks on pulpit in the name of Christ.

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo should apologize to Nigerians and take the path of honour, it's obvious he no longer have the intention to serve the country but the Yoruba tribe, which contradicts his oath of office.

At this moment we need men who would unite the country not those who want to devide it. Someone like Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim.

You're part of the ...( I won't type the name I ordinarily would have appropriated to you for the sake of the people I share mutual respect on this platform) I wonder how you or your father ( perhaps you're too young to having any sense reasoning) faired under Jonathan.

What exactly does Atiku possess that's lacking in Buhari? Like I wrote earlier, the election isn't and won't be about Buhari and Atiku, but the that of Yoruba Nation and Igbo who so much hate us, if today they're not bitterly ranting about Asiwaju who has not held a national appointment for over 3 decades, they're moaning about how Lagos State has enjoyed the presence of the federal government at the expense of the states in their region as if gods stopped them from using their potential to emacipate themselves.

From all indication, you're a product of a compromised system and you want us to return to status quo, no way!

Although Nigeria isn't working the way a country should, but we are definitely not where we were, you may not know this because you're screwed to be unreasonable.

But I can boldly tell you that Igbos want to vote for Atiku to ensure Buhari does not continue not because they want Obi to become president in 2019.

If APC had fielded Osinbajo as Presidential candidate and another person as VP, take it from me, Osinbajo would have gotten more votes from Igbos more than Buhari will ever get.

But even here, you see Yorubas pridefully bragging that Osinbajo or Yoruba must produce the next President in 2023, its shameful, God knows if I was a Yoruba, I will condemn such.

I condemn Igbo people when they mess up, all we need are visionary leaders to put Nigeria on the right track economically not our brother or sister that will ruin even our lives and businesses with their jagajaga leadership style.

Igbos are more concerned with having a quality, unifying and loving president not a tribal or eeligi bigot like Buhari which Osinbajo and Fashola has learnt, sadly cry
