I used to read your comments here on nairaland and see u as someone who is enlightened but this time around you disappoint me with your assertion... Now let me educate you a bit, dreams are not just flasbacks but also an explanation of the present and future occurrence. I am a traditionalist and I will advise you to pay attention to your dreams and always try to remember them cos it's highly important.. Remember Joseph in the bible? Remember pharoah had a DREAM about the future which Joseph was the only one who explained it to him and as a result of that Egypt was saved from famine..
Now let me give u a realistic example with myself; "few months ago my grand mother died of illness but before she died my mother had a dream that showed her my grandma was going to die soon, now in that dream my mother saw my grand mother lying down on her sick bed with a lantern placed beside her, but the lantern was covered with a black cloth.. My mother asked my grandmother in that dream why would she cover the light (lantern) with a BLACK CLOTH? Doesn't she wanna see clearly? But my grandma asked her to leave it that way that she's comfortable with the way it is.. My mother persuaded her but to no avail. Instead my grand mother stood up and left with the lantern with the black cloth still on it...
Now when my mother woke up (my mum is a native doctor) it dawned on her that her mother who was sick would die soon and she (my grandma) came to reveal her death to her (my mum).. After two days my mum had that dream my grandma died (86yrs). Now let me explain further, "the light from the lantern signifies my grand mother's life, the black cloth signifies death.. And if my grand mother had allowed my mum to take off that black cloth it means her life on earth will be extended but she doesn't want that because I guess her sickness was taking a toll on her and she needed to rest and as well save us her children the stress of carrying her about..
I can go on and give u a lot more real revelations I've experienced but I'll stop here, so I advice you bro to pay attentions to your dreams and always try to remember them.. 90% of people who are dead today once had revelations about their deaths from dreams but only few understood it. Shalom!

Let me lift ur hope.

I rarely dream but wen I do, whatever I see in the dream, reverse would be the case in reality.
Initially I was afraid but now I know it's just a twist, dream is supposed to be a code to decipher. And trust me, it hasn't been negative, always positive happenings.

Two days back, I dreamt that my 5months old pregnant wife would give birth to a baby girl.
But I have cleared all her doubt about the sex of the baby and we even placed a bet to that effect pending the time we go for scan.

Not having at all is #Bad tho.

Dreams have often served as avenue where people see revelations, some peoples dreams are so powerful that, whatever they dream comes to pass. others just dream dreams that result from their immediate activities or environment. some people are natural dreamers and can't pass a night without dreaming one or two dreams.

And there are some like me who rarely or never dreams or possibly they dream but they don't remember their dreams. What could be the cause of that? Does it have any spiritual, physical or psychological implications? Is remembering your dreams that important.

These questions have been a burden to me.

You have never been obsessed with things that even science of dreams shapes your subconscious mind and all the rapid eye movement bullshits start sending some signals in form of motion pictures of reality to your brain.

For example, you start seeing yourself in places where you have never been but you speak the languages. Like speaking Tamil when you have never stepped onto the shores of Singapore, or speaking greek.... And you woke up to google search the language you spoke in the dream. Though may not be semantically correct but you realized the lexicon of the language you spoke in the dream was correct and you are more confused. However, you always wanted to go greek but never had.

That is when you know you are in deep shit and you need Psychoanalytic therapies.

As an irreligious individual, I regard dreams as a powerful tool. Some people have the gift of seeing future events in dreams, and I'm such kind of person.

People have different talents and abilities, and science still has a long way to go in explaining in detail circadian rhythms, like sleep, and related concept, such as dreams.

Everybody dreams but when the spiritual man is far from you, there is every tendency that you won't remember it.

If you don't believe that the physical is controlled by the spiritual then there is no need wasting your time on this thread.

That is why most people would tell you that they "would sleep over it" when they are faced with difficult and important decisions to make.
