If you're a Tru christian... You can support the government. But getting involve in it will deter your relationship with God. And those who try to do same are like those priest listening to ashawo confessing their since . Their peniz will definitely get erected...

Can A True Christian be Actively involved in Nigeria politics as it is today?

The highlighted said it all! smiley

Jesus was invited to participate in politics by the overall master in politics, but there's one thing he demanded from Jesus {Luke 4:6-7} do you notice what Satan (the ruler of the world) asked in return? John 14:30; 1John 5:19
Well the Bible is not just a story book Sir, it's meant to enlighten us about sacred secrets of things that befell unwise people in ancient times! 1Corinthians 10:6, 11
Whoever participate in politics anywhere on this planet is serving Satan, that's why Jesus said he came to expose all the secret of the devil for his own disciples, politicians themselves often confess that politics is a dirty game which means it's not meant for sheep but goats.
So it's not for Jesus' disciples to participate in the works of the devil: POLITICS! smiley

Desperados:
It is nothing bad for a christian getting involved in politics.
The problem is remaining faithful to God irrespective of the political system.
Daniel in the bible was involved in politics and he still remained faithful to God.
No that's outdated. Talk about Jesus (Christians model) and his disciples and the early church generally.
Did they participate in politics?
No they didn't.

Jesus said "my kingdom is not of this world".
