GNLD, the worse nightmare of any job seeker. I had a run in with them twice in 2015,wasn't a good experience. Imagine wearing suit to an interview, only to be told to come and pay money to register for GNLD.wasn't a good experience at all.

For the first time in a really long time I laughed at a meme collection on Nairaland.

This is funny, not those suicide fuelling memes done by one dry Danbaba and the other dry Tosyne or sth.

Or is it the one they will advertise the position of a manegerial position online or by text message but wen u get to the office for interviews na different story they go they ask u, if I will do marketing or gate man, ,na wao, ,,,i was force to ask one if he knew how much I spent for tfare just to come for their interview but wat u advertised is different from what u are asking, I don't blame him sha he isn't base in nigeria so he also has d mentality of how to exploit 9ja youth, ,,any small thing he will say "when I was in Germany " I just tire ,,,,my brother dis country is dead, if u are privilege to enjoy d good things of this country God bless u and don't forget me abeg

Exactly my experience in 2012....vex I nu fit vex, had to find a friends house to pass the night since I couldn't travel back to Benin that day

Those GNLD and the like have cause so much pain and loss of money to aspiring employee...sometimes, even death.

They mislead people from far and wide...I have met people that traveled down from Abuja for a supposedly genuine job interview.

Chai! During job hunt, I remember attending one of the unfortunate 'interviews' where police had to be invited to arrest the set of scammers...got my transport fare back too!

When I look back sometimes, I just say "thank you Lord" for the experiences and for where he is taking me.

No sweet gain without pain.

I swear down... exactly same thing happened to me, worst part is that i was constantly on calls with them,he even told me to write appointment letter and attach my CV, then come along with 4recents passport photos which i did, most annoying part was that they scheduled the interview 7am saying they want punctuality, i had to woke up 4am, left home 5:30am so i can beat traffic only to patiently wait till like 10:15am before they came, Say I no fight them that day na by the grace of God... it well shaaah

why not just go start your own biz?

I just want us to reshape our orientation about things. I have read alot about this company & I know much about them. If it's a scam.. I don't think they will be in existence till now. Mind you, they celebrated 60 years of existence this year. If they are not profitable, they would have ceased operations. This company is established in many countries such As: USA (the base), South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Cameron to mention few. Highly educated people are among them, lawyers, Doctors, Accountant etc.. It's all depends on how will open our heart to opportunities, how will embrace opportunities. It's an independent work that doesn't collect your white collar jobs from you.. It's all depends on how you understand the business. I am not advertising for them.. I just want us to digest these.

Is that the reason why they have to use deception to invite job seekers to their interviews? Yes, they may be legit but let them come out clean while throwing out invitations and not risk people's lives unnecessarily.
