Ishilove, this is a great post! A really good post. But something could have made it to be greater. Something like the names of the women in the photo. Who are the women? Still, not mentioning the women doesn't detract from the fact that this is a great post.

The greatest resistance to the British came from old eastern region and also delta state..

From the boat battles in the creeks of the Niger delta to the gun battles in the plains of aba.

It was real war.

Igbos have never been a tribe that runs away from confrontations.

Kudos to the brave women and all other brave Nigerians who have refused to be enslaved by some bastards and keep fighting for freedom even if it means death.

Pure respect!

Right here are the real MVPS.

Although history lessons taught in school give me a slightly different version of events, I will admit that this article gives me a warm and tingly feeling up my spine.

They fought for what they believed was right

I often wonder whether it would be better to empower African women to save this continent cause men have failed. If we can educate women about African history and they pass that information to their kids, this continent will disconnect totally from neo-colonialism.

And this reminds me of Ms. Hariet Tubman. This woman escaped from her slave master and was helping other slaves escape. Yet, her husband was still a slave to their master. One day she came by night to help her husband escape. Guess what the man said? I am fine here, please don't put me at risk with the master.

Many miscreants here. Imagine One APC town Cryer after reading this page in history only saw breast as if he was asked to examine the pictures. Aba brave women Who saw that with British as colonial master of this contraption called Nigeria nothing can work while their counterparts from the north and Yoruba were busy sleeping with uncultured British men for just one penny. . History will continue to exalt Igbo women of no comparison. .
