What Was Jesus Writing With His Finger On The Ground? by Nobody:
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
John 8:3-6KJV

Now I'm honestly curious to find out what Jesus was actually writing on the floor, for despite being a true disciple of His, He has not yet given me the revelation of that.

So I could only assume things for now as that He was receiving inspiration from heaven concerning what to respond to the question of those Pharisees and scribes who came to Him with that woman they claimed was caught in the act of adultery by herself, and hence was putting it down on the floor.

For when He finally responded, there was no gainsaying or resisting of His response, as it was said:

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. John 8:9 KJV

But then He was said to have stoop down and wrote again after responding to their question:

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. John 8:8 KJV

Or maybe He wasn't thru yet as the woman said to be caught in adultery was still there with Him?

Or could it be that He was plotting His next onslaught on the devil's works?

The reason I'm very curious about this is because if Jesus stoops down and writes something on the floor, it's going to be very important and significant.

So just in case there's any genuine person out there who has been given revelation of what Jesus was writing there, please just help a brother here out of His curiosity!

Thank you in advance!

One babalawo has already explained this. What Jesus was writing wasn't meant for you. He was simply communicating with Ifa (like you see some Ifa priests write on the ground). He was communing with Ifa who told him earlier to tell the crowd that he who had no sin should cast the first stone. That's what the babalawo said o!

Like the brother said, Jesus was listing all of the sins of the clergy and congregation so-to-speak.
That is what it was believed to be.

They (the clergy) were trying to catch the Lord in some sort of hypocrisy and contradiction (in order to label him false), YET it was their own hypocrisy that was revealed.
It was a set-up...but interestingly enough, the man wasn't brought forth. It does "take two" though...
However, I say it all of the time:
Everyone has a closet of skeleton(s): 1 or more.
Some folks can't even shut their doors cause the bones are so numerous, but are quick to point fingers at others.
Maybe you wanted to know exactly the particular sins....but that's the grace of Christ.
He didn't label each sin with the particular person...it was probably general but each and every man yelling and shouting was guilty of something he had written.

If we would use Christ as our measuring stick, how much more humane would we be towards one another....

Thanks for your concerted attempt at helping me out, but Jesus listing down the sins of all the clergy and crowd on the floor, like seriously?

I'm sorry but that doesn't even sound close, as the Jesus I know would never think of something like that, needless say doing it.

But thanks again for your contribution.

C'mon, why couldnt Jesus think of something like that but then not do it?

Jesus could have thought like Mobilia suggested but not do it.
I too have heard a preacher on a satellite channel posit this Mobilia version

You are welcome. Thanks for replying.
But if I may ask, what is the difference between what I wrote and Ikem11 wrote? He said that Jesus was "listing their sins"...
Whose sins was Jesus listing?
The only thing I added was the sins of congregation/crowd who were out there condemning the woman as well as the clergy.
You do know that Jesus also called out the hypocritical behavior of the clergy at another point in time....

Matthew 23:33 (KJV)
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

The important quention is why was he writing on the ground.

There is only one answer: insanity.
Only lunatics write on the ground when their elders are speaking to them.

When I saw your comment I was immediately looking for a thumb down but fortunately for you there was none for that's what you would have merited by your comment made here.

I didn't say you were wrong, but that although it was a possibility that I didn't think so, because I just couldn't see Jesus doing that.

However I may be wrong and you both may be correct, but it's not yet that convincing enough for me.
