I understood you perfectly, its you that didn't get my sarcasm. I was throwing jibes at those who voted him as 5th despite his stats outclassing stats of the 4 players placed ahead of him individually. The 1st - 4th players were chosen because of team success. He was the only one with individual success as his yardstick.

whollop in Ozil time in La Liga, he had more assists than Xavi and Iniesta combined. Funnily enough John Terry had more goals than Iniesta at one time... But then Iniesta had this influence on matches that were just plain beautiful to behold.

omo goals and assists are the coins Messi and Ronaldo used in dominating football for the past 10 years. But Iniesta sha, his not that fast but his dribbling is one of a kind. I remember one assist he gave Neymar against PSG, he picked the ball in our half, dribbled past 3 or 4 PSG plays and gave Neymar one defense splitting pass. It was beautiful

I remember that match. That was round 16 UCL enroute to we winning the trophy that year (2015).

I disagree with using goals and assists.
If we are to go by goals, the we'd be right to say Pedro > Hazard and Y. Toure > S. Busquets.

I schooled the EPL fanatic. I don't even argue in viewing centres cos like you said, most of them are just EPL boys who knows next to nothing in football outside the league they watch.

But I couldn't help but to educate the know-little boy as per the difference between the inconsistent player and the man who's seen and conquered it all.

Pedro hmm, sha my problem with Hazard was that he was not scoring, he was damn unselfish, this season his scoring sha. But his talent is on par with Neymar's IMO but Neymar scores like crazy.
As for Toure and Busquets, hmm Busquets dey loss for match in a brilliant tactical way, recycling possession, giving simple passes that open the field. Del Bosque said "if you watch the match, you won't see Busquets but if you watch Busquets, you see the entire match." the guy is subtle, but Toure is a human tank, in his hey days, he was a force to reckon with, his gangly runs from deep, his shots from range and he was easily Man city's best player at a point. And he scored numerous goals as well as doing his midfield duties. As at when Toure left Barca he was among the best DMs in the world but in Man city he was CM even AM and Supporting Striker. So it depends. For me Toure was brilliant.
