University of Jos was my daughter's first choice for pharmacy and with complete 8credits inclusive of the required subjects. The school delayed their admission process till recently when we started hearing she might not be admitted due to competitiveness of the procedure.
Kindly help me out on any possibility to switch to another school that might admit her with the score, and what should we do please. Urgent and sincere help needed to help a brother.

I am sorry but I think she will have to change to a less competitive course if she is sure that she won't get Pharmacy in Unijos. Most schools are through with their admission exercise so changing to another institution is not an option.

ur best bet is to go to Unijoa admission office and do d needful..Wish U and ur daughter all d best

Have you check her admission status on Jamb website,CAPS? If not tell her to check on jamb website. Unijos have started given admission on Jamb Caps only, they have not publicly released the list,since they are running behind schedule due to late calendar.. Do and check on CAPS.
I know someone with lower score yes! 258 admitted in first batch pharmacy since November!
With her high score,she should make merit list easily without connection..I take it that you have not checked the jamb CAPS..

Well it's JAMB CAPS we have been checking since July till recently when we saw a different course - Technical Education being processed for her, and therein it read admission in progress. We can't fathom how caps should do this. Technical Education was never any of the choices she made and her subjects were all pure sciences, 4Bs, 1A, and 4Cs. I think Education courses would not require high scores in UTME usually around 180 - 200 or something like that. Not even a close course, nursing or pharmacology, biotechnology pharmaceutics, zoology, biochemistry, physiology etc. Very unfair to us. And imagine it's late. My calls to other universities around is not yielding positive results as they said admissions are concluded. I'm really desperate to get her to school. I need help from anyone that has links to any university.
Just yesterday, I checked CAPS and I saw "you have been admitted to the University of Jos to study Technical Education"... I immediately rejected the admission by pressing the reject button.

Acceptance? Hmmmm, I felt JAMB is not amenable to that effect. Remember it's on CAPS. And I thought the school will do supplementary admission that would allow us that rejected merit offer for further consideration in the University. I can't understand why a 272 score will be given such course despite all the available science courses. Education was never a close one for crying out loud and was not in all the choices made during the UTME registration.

I'm experiencing same problem, i applied to study mbbs in d uj wit a jamb score of 260, 6b's and 2c's in waec, but i'm just seeing library and information science on my caps profile, i just ignored it cos i'm confused on wether to accept or reject it, and i really don't want to study dat course.

Sir, if your daughter is good enough let her write another JAMB and this time fill UNIBEN as her first choice. Uniben has a very transparent admission process (at least for the merit list). Once she beats the cut off point in her post UTME test-which is usually computer-based, she'll be admitted with no stories!
Besides Uniben's pharmacy school is topnotch! She'll gain more knowledge and exposure there.

If you really trust your daughter's intellectual prowess, take my advice.

Hello CentiLion! The candidate you mentioned with 258 UTME score, and was admitted into Pharmacy, what's his waec or ssce grades please?

i understand what you are going through but scoring high in utme is not enough for admission,it is based on aggregates cummulating from utme score,olevels,post utme(if conducted).i think you should have accepted d course offered to her first nd change it later.Admissions into federal universities gets tougher o because applicants will increase while carrying capacity remains static

I would suggest you visit the school's admission office and lias with two or more people there. They are human too just like you
