As a result of the resolve by INEC to bar APC and it's candidate from contesting the 2019 elections in Zamfara, following it's inability to meet the deadline for submission of candidates, Former Govbof Zamfara Ato Fayose has raised an an alarm over the attempt by the Buhari administration to impose a state of emergency that will effectively prevent voters from electing their leader.

The former Governor took to twitter where he wrote:
"I have been reliably informed that the FG is plotting to hide under the killings in Zamfara State by armed bandits to impose emergency rule on the state.This is their response to the insistence of INEC not to allow APC field candidates for the 2019 general election in the state."

Following the crisis in the party the APC currently has no candidate in Zamfara, Rivers state. The APC's woes has been further complicated by Buharis abysmal performance in office which most Nigerians have described as unacceptable.

This is one of the attributes of dictatorship. OBJ also appointed one for Ekiti during his tenure.

Buhari has the army, police and DSs at his beck and call, even if there is crisis in his state, a seating governor cant order the army on ground? they take orders from the DHQ. The only person that has the power is the President. Over 200 soldiers have been killed the last 2months in Yobe and Borno, why didnt you guys call for the imposition of a State of emergency? The answer is simple for those without. a bias mind. They didnt cos its an APC state.

When badoo and militants were on rampage in Lagos, did Ambode shift blame on FG? Nope.....he confronted it squarely with little or no help from FG....before a governor call on FG, he should have put some measures in place

The simple fact that you compare a group of less than 200 cultists terrorising a single neighbourhood with machetes, pounding pestles, local made hand guns within the neighnourhood with over 400 Armed to the teeth militants carrying RPGs, Rocket launchers, Armoured personel carriers, Uk grade brand nee AKs and Anti aircraft guns just exposed your extreme naivity abou the issue on ground.
