Good morning House.

I will be moving to Lethbridge AB in January as a student to study CIT.
I have been unable to secure an apartment close to Lethbridge college even after signing up on Kijiji. Can someone be of assistance please.

Also, I have the following questions for the house.

1. I have a mobile phone that I intend traveling with what is the best Network plan to use?
2. Which bank to I open an account with that can serve me long term?
3. I intend getting a new laptop once I get there, how do I go about this as well?

Thank you for your assistance.

I sent you a PM.

I asked a colleague at work but she said there's none. It's just the Toronto or Ontario one I think.

This would happen if you earn a really huge salary in Nigeria. Otherwise, when converted to CAD, you'd likely not have any difference to pay as your earnings would most likely be in the lower income tax bracket.

Yeah. I forgot to add that clause. Infact i got the Ontario trillium tax credit 2017 on that basis.

grin grin grin This is why I miss being around Nigerians, the way wey we dey epp people judge their matter and seem to know what is best for them, its a very interesting trait we have. Reminds me of when my Uncle was admonishing my cousin and I to marry early else we would regret. Only for my cousin to reply "Eh Uncle that's the thing, I want to regret!" na crime to regret ? grin grin

Very wonderful discourse and I really missed participating in it.

If only NL was like facebook where you can see who actually liked what post sad

Anyway, each to his own. But it seems to me that a majority of the female Canadian hopefuls are engaging in this journey as a result of marital woes and unhappiness in their marriages.

It is well smiley

Random question
What if you get a fantastic opportunity with the UN that requires you leaving Canada for about a year and the new wife in Canada cannot come with you, would you divorce her?

For those that usually have sponsorship problems, ask them how they got their papers.

The UN assignment will last for one year, immigration is a permanent move.

For what it's worth I hope all women here, crying that they are equal and must share house chores equally with their men on some roster or schedule,

I hope if've you landed, you actually did/ will do that.

I hope you called your husband , and told him "this is Canada , and here we are equall. Choose your house chores."

I hope you made him understand that since you moved to Canada he has ceased to be the head of the family.

It's appalling how the things we spurt/and vomit on faceless forums are totally different from the actual lives we live.
Please stop misleading people.

Also, I have the following questions for the house.

1. I have a mobile phone that I intend traveling with what is the best Network plan to use? I use Koodo for $52 /Month. They do promotions all the time with different Networks. Just dont do freedom mobile unless you wont be leaving town at all.

2. Which bank to I open an account with that can serve me long term? Scotia / RBC.. Most commonly used. I guess they are good , thats why.

3. I intend getting a new laptop once I get there, how do I go about this as well? Depends on ur budget. I would first check FBK marketplace and Kijiji first. People sell brand new discounted stuff there all the time. Me,I'm a cheap guy, i buy used on Fbk Marketplace ( Tho I AM VERY CAREFUL, i test everything for atleast 1 hour before paying - No be by force) and i haven't gotten any bad market so far.

Thank you for your assistance.

Some UN assignments last for more than a year and wife sponsorship takes a year.

Nice try though.

No! Nay!! Nope!!! @bolded what sort of fallacy of hasty generalisation is that sir? How many females have you asked? Like, you can't even say some, you went ahead to say "majority". How sir? I guess somehow a woman that believes the system in Canada is a more sane clime for females to flourish is unhappy in her home and is going to Canada to escape marital woes. Smh

*By the way, the right thing is "each his or her own" I believe that was meant for ALL not just males.

No matter how you try to downplay or deny it, it is the plain truth. I take out time to read in between the lines here and also look for what was not written out.

I didn't just blab ok? If you read very well on this forum, you wont need to ask any questions in other to know more about people's personal history.
