Nope. Stop taking what I actually referred to out of context. In other to avoid further confusion I was referring to the digital footprints and how it possible to dox a person to get their house address. The other brouhaha no concern me.

A little internet search might just provide you the answers you seek.It is likely no one here knows because no one has had a personal experience.Or you can hire a lawyer.

What is annoying now is that I had resent passports since July which tracking showed it was received by the Card processing office.

Please can anyone advice in the way forward as I have to travel ASAP. How long does a PRTD take to process?

I present to you a receipe that would put to bed all arguments about roles in the family,divorce, discrimination against sexual orientation and domestic violence. This is a receipe from the greatest wisdom book ever written. Here we go...

Love endures long and is patient and kind;
Love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy,
Love is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
Love is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride);
Love is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly.
Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way,
Love is not self-seeking;
Love is not touchy or fretful or resentful;
Love takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
Love does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes,
Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person,
Love endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails!

Happy Holidays! Happy New year in advance!

Hello everyone, I have been watching this space since 2017. Got PPR in October and planning to come to Canada finally in March 2019.

However, I am almost going mad with pre-arrival plannings. I had thought getting PPR was the end of all my problems but this doesn't seem the case.

I initially planned to settle in calgary because I have a friend there. But recent research and advises reveal that the job outlook in Calgary isn't as promising as that of the Toronto axis. I have decided to change plans and settle in Ontario [Guelph/kitchener axis]. My main challenge is that I know no one here.

Can someone in the WhatsApp group for any decent area in Ontario PM me please. I just need to belong to a WhatsApp group and get some sincere advise.

I promise no inconvenience, all I need is information.

Thanks!

Hey @digitalgirl234 my PR card arrived in good time so I didn't need to apply for the PRTD. I know @jydexaus here applied earlier in the year and it took a very short while via VFS Lagos.

Have you called CIC to know what's up with your card and when is your travel date? I had to follow up with several phone calls and emails reminding them that the timeline for processing mine and my dependants cards were past due before they mentioned that our photos were ineligible. At the end it is the ineligible photos that were used to produce the cards (after sending 3 different sets).

If you haven't called please call them 1888 242 2100 and make sure you speak to an agent. Have details like your UCI, address, Date of birth at hand because they would need to verify you before any conversation. I used an internet phone app called rynga to call rather than use local naija mobile. You could use freetone.

Note that I had about 3 months before my travel date to do this chasing.

If you've been waiting for good deal on flights from Lagos to Toronto, you may want to check out Jumia Travel now. I just booked, paid, and i have recieved my e ticket from EgyptAir. I had to follow jumia bumper to bumper because I did transfer. I Insisted they send me the booking confirmation after i paid and sent them payment confirmation. About an hour later, E ticket was sent to my email. By the way, I paid N685,280 for a family of four(2 Adults, 2 Children). Not bad huh!

Also check priceline.com, I was able to find 700 dollars flight for one way Lagos to Toronto for one adult. Ended up getting an 800 dollar one cos I want to enjoy Emirates.
Hack: it’s cheaper to book a multi city ticket (LOS-LON-YYZ) than one way LOS to YYZ.

I used to quote this when I was single.

Lmao. I’m sorry. Has it been 24 hours? I think most airlines refund within 24 hours of booking. If the price difference is substantial, you can try that?
