None of the operational aircrafts in the Nigerian Air Force fleet are equipped with radar and night vision instrumentation. The fact that they are claiming that the sorties were launched around 7pm makes me doubt this version. I do know for a fact that NAF missions are restricted to day tine due to technological disadvantages that I highlighted above.

Lol mi35m is equipped with night vision and hoq can you say a jet has no radar, how will it know where its going without radar?

But my question still remain, why wait for them to attack your base? Is there no air surveillance so as to spot them as they approach?

Such attacks could be avoided with 200k, that amount will buy 6 drones with HD camera to monitor the base.

They could easily rotate, but again what about the weapons being giving to the troops.

They are not the only one joining Boko Haram. Boko Haram recruit fighters from chad and Niger where they were long established before coming down to Nigeria.

I understand that you must defend your northern masters at all time but at least do so with some decorum.

BH is a northern Nigerian product.

To be a member of BH you must be a muslin of Fulani, Hausa or Kanuri extraction.

Or was Mohammed Yusuf or Shekau from Sudan?

For a long while now, the N.A have been on the defensive, indication that they have run out of ideas on their concieved strategy,Buratai and the air chief should be changed asap.

Do you know how many times American, Israeli and other advance world have bombed wrong targets? Some of you are mental slaves who believe they are the only ones not fit enough not to get it wrong.

Same NAF that bombed a UN refugee camp last year? .

The camp in question had large tents with UN inscribed on them but the NAF pilot still bombed the camp in Bama.

Their excuse was that they thought it was a BH camp even in broad daylight.

Now, I know fighter pilots and bombers can only engage a target after authorization is gotten from the base or mission commander who will first validate the target and assess if it is worth dropping expensive ordinance on it..For the pilot to have bombed the UN camp it means the Nigerian army lacks situational awareness and proper intelligence gathering.

I had to bring this up because the NAF pilots have no way of authenticating targets without confirming from base command. How then will they be expected to carry out sorties on an overran base in darkness?

Think.

The Nigerian army is fighting terrorists in their own land.

They are expected to have full situational and intelligence awareness over their own territory.

I will cut the US some slack because the US forces where operating on foreign soil with limited intelligence capacity.

That said, I hope when the incompetent Nigerian Air Force drops bombs meant for sambisa on your house in osogbo, you will take it in good faith.

Perhaps if the PDP administration hadn't stolen so much of our money we would have been able to afford technologies like that.

Nigerian fighter jets are not being utilized for dog fights but rather they see more action dropping bombs on their civilian population.

Sometimes I wonder if those doubting the good news about the Nigerian forces, are Nigerians?

Anyway true Nigerians are always with the Nigerian Military ,no matter the news, good or bad. That is the global standard.

Is like many people have been politically programmed to wail till death!

With the way the war is going with BH having the advantage, that should tell you that the Nigerian Air Force capabilities are greatly overestimated.

Let me at least remind you that this is the Nigerian Air Force we are talking about. Corruption is very rampant in the military and the Nigerian Air Force is not exempted.

The Nigerian security forces are in dire need of a total over haul.

By burying your head in the sand like an ostrich will not in any way help bring about the necessary reforms. Reforms that will usher in a highly disciplined and professional military that naturally ought to have eradicated BH by now.

But you won't see it my way because stating the obvious is bad optics for your useless Buhari and satanic APC.

Then why is your useless govt procuring sub sonic fighter jets that were conceived in the 60's during the height of the Cold War?

You see, I have an answer for every stupidity you spew.

So, if u're talking about the Alpha Jet, sorry...the A-Jet isnt meant for 'super sonic' dog fights bro. It's role in the NAF is for light attack (providing air to ground support) and as an advanced jet trainer.

You can thank me later. Bye

sorry, 200k drones are not military grade intelligence drones. Drone that runs for 18 hours without refueling with weapons capability and high resolution Camara, with infrared are worth billions. These are serious shits, not toy drones. Thanks anyway

That is not as easy as you think. Because it means that there must be a surveillance plane on the air 24hrs. The fuel they will burn in one week will be enough to settle ASUU.

I agree, it requires huge resources. How about satellite imagery?

The Alpha Jet was designed to counter the Russian Mig.

It has limited ground support abilities due to its limited pay load. Other than that, the Alpha Jet was designed for 3rd world allies and has more capabilities as an air to air fighter to form a first line of defense .

So if you still insist on the superiority of the Alpha Jet have you asked why the Nigerian Army wants to replace it as an air to ground attack jet with the propeller driven Embrar Super Tucson?
