Trending on front page is the thread: Buhari Has History Of Bringing Looted Funds To Nigeria – Atiku The issue of 53 suitcases has characterized several presidential electioneering campaigns since 1999. Most notable is the 2011 presidential campaign. In an interview published in the Vanguard, 21 March 2011 Candidate Buhari directed his interviewers to channel further questions on the 53 suitcases to Atiku Abubakar, the person in charge of customs at MMA when the incidence occurred. Atiku in a riposte acquitted himself and blamed “rude and crude” soldiers from Buhari’s headquarters for the slip This doesn't tally with his current proclamation that Buhari has a history of bringing looted funds https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2011/03/53-suitcases-saga-buhari-blasts-atiku-jonathan/amp/ Again on May 3, 2017, Atiku shed further light on the 53 suitcases in an interview with Thisday and reported by several media outlets Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said the importation of 53 suitcases when he was in charge of customs was done by a northern ruler https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.legit.ng/amp/1102783-atiku-account-53-suitcases-saga-imported-nigeria.html 11 Likes 2 Shares |

From Atiku's own account, he wasn't present at the scene of the incidence. He was home that day being a weekend. So the much he knew was from briefing by ground staff. So his recent claim that he prevented the smuggling of money into the country is a fat lie He stated the number of suitcases brought in, not their contents, was entered into the customs" station diary. So how did he know the contents was money. If indeed it was money, he should kindly state in which currencies. Atiku cannot pretend in his current ego trip that he didn't know who the suitcases belonged to. In 2017, he pointedly stated in the interview with Thisday, that a powerful first class traditional ruler in the north was the owner of the suitcases. Even though in his usual cowardly disposition he couldn't mention his name, we all know who that traditional ruler was. Why is Atiku now yarning a new tale. He claimed, he almost lost his job as a result of the incidence. He should have lost his job and put on trial! Here is a man who said the station diary of the customs was supposed to be a confidential government document but allowed a journalist to peruse it which was later used to write a damaging report against the government and its officials, a clear violation of Decree 4. Atiku should be asked of what became of the investigation he claimed to have initiated on the 53 suitcase saga 106 Likes 13 Shares |

docadams: Atiku knows that Cownu might have fled but he left behind teeming morons who without reason or common sense will believe his every lie. He has literally contradicted himself, he is trying hard to compete with Obliar aka Obigot aka O'dishonesty aka Obarawo. How did he stop what he wasn't around to oppose? Or did he stop the suitcase spiritually? 39 Likes 3 Shares |

so what exactly is the point of this article? To tell Nigerians that Atiku is liar? We've heard worst already yet guess what? Nigerians are nonetheless preferring him to your failure of a president. one of the worst reason for Nigeria's suffering today is the fact that "the supposed man in charge was never, has never, and will apparently never be in charge". We refuse to be perpetually ruled by "certain men behind the curtains" Uhna work never even begin! #Bama so!! Sai ya koma daura cikin kunya!! It's very much still a project #Back2Daura 118 Likes 10 Shares |

"President Buhari currently faces serious allegations, which include staging show trials of opponents of a regime that is accused of corruption and graft, while simultaneously shielding his own party members and inner circle. As it have been before, so it's now and so will it ever be.This issue was a well documented corruption of the inglorious Buhari military era as military HOS. Just as officials of this present government escorted their biggest culprits Abdulrasheed Maina & Madam Kemi Adeosun to escape hence avoid criminal prosecution. 24 Likes |

docadams: No one at all harbours any doubts as to Atikus "questionable proclivities" this aboki na is a fact, and it bleeds the heart of many Nigerians my self inclusive as to the choices we're left with a vote for Obizeks, Sowore or Hasheem separately by Nigerians is as good as returning a proven failure (Buhari) back to power there's apparently only one way for the country to rid itself of this "failure and a mistake" of a man and we shall make it happen come the '19' polls 8 Likes 1 Share |

The controversy raged on and the bureaucracy insisted that I should be fired and the then Minister of Finance who happened to be Dr. Soleye, said: ‘What is Atiku’s offence that you want him fired?’ As the minister, he over ruled the bureaucracy and I retained my job.” Was Soleye part of Major General Buhari's ministerial cabinet? 1 Like |
