Having problem doing this, it's telling me themes from third party sources not allowed, what do I do? I am on miui10.1 on redmi 4x.

No you don't need to. There are lots of predefined designed you can choose from. You can modify any them you have on your phone to your taste

i gradated from infinix hot 2( rubbish phone) to another family of rubbish infinix note 4 in just 3 month b4 i found out abt xiaomi, i sold them infinix off and go for redmi note 5ai, with amazing spec b4 promoting to d master of speed, #POCO F1, if someone dash me that infinix i go just trash am fast!. slow, hot and heavy infinix, shoo. tongue tongue tongue tongue
