Infinity war was very unpredictable. Thor ragnarok was unpredictable. I watched Aquaman on the 25th and i can tell you that the movie is very predictable.
It honestly just felt like I'm just watching another superhero movie nothing much. I prefer Thor Ragnarok, Guardians of the galaxy vl 2 and Infinity war than this film.
I actually felt sleepy in the Cinema honestly.
The film to me doesn't live up to the Hype at all. I wished i watched Chief daddy instead.

I'm not supporting DC or anything, but those two movies you mentioned we're somewhat predictable to 'ME'. Good movies nonetheless.

Although I'm a marvel fan, it is true that Marvel studios has a certain formular for their movies. Which is why most of the intro movies seem familiar/predictable etc. It is also the reason they have been very successful and popular. It is also the reason DC and other studios are trying to copy or create their own winning formular. Based on Marvel's.

Just my opinion though...

Happy New year everyone.

Stop lying to yourself.

Every superhero film has some level of predictability to it.

As if you didn't know that from the beginning of infinity war that Thanos would get all 6 stones, if he wouldn't then why is there a second part?

This is an easy prediction.
How he would get it is what no one knew.

In Ragnarok, from the beginning I knew that Thor would beat Hela in the end.
I knew that Hulk will return to normal.

This is easy plot points that anyone can predict.

It may have escaped your mind but it didn't escape mine.

Like it or not every superhero movie has some level of predictability to it.

If Aquaman was boring then people will not be buying tickets to see it everyday.
Some people have seen it twice or thrice.

If not how can a boring film earn $750m in less than a month.
Doesn't make sense at all.

Millions of people all over the world didn't find it boring.
Maybe its only you.

Na you sabi..

actually Thor didn't beat his sister, and Infinty War wasn't predictable unless you read spoilers online before watching the movies. We expected Thanos to be defeated, hell the past two avengers movies, the boss was defeated in one movie. Nobody expected Thor's new weapon to be that weapon(unless you read spoilers and theories online).

Thor beat Hela indirectly using another means.

Once infinity war started with Thanos getting space stone, I knew he would get all 6.

I also know some dusted characters are coming back.

Speak for yourself only bro.
Start with Thor and Hulk being fùcked up at the beginning...
Then Ebony Maw fùcking up Dr Strange, Iron Man and Spiderman...
Heck, if at all you do watch film at all, you would realise that to defeat this type of villains with such incredible power level, you need to up the power level of your current heroes seeing as they are no match. Hence Thor's new Weapon...etc etc.

On the other hand, the movie is also an adventure on the part of Thanos... So, it's obvious he is looking for stones... He will employ any means necessary... We just didn't know how...

Disney is spending mega bucks trying to market captain marvel movie from being a total FLOP.

Do you know how much it cost to market on NYC times square? Disney dey fear after mary popkins huge flop at the box office.

If this girl flops, it will nail the final nail on the coffin of all other female hero movies. Well, I hope it turns out well at the end

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by TheKingIsHere: 12:29am On Jan 02, 2019
Coming from a marvel fan who knows his comics... In the comics, captain marvel was a failed character that's why she wasn't popular until now because of avengers movie.

Unless marvel wants to give her some new powers, there is nothing special in the movie. Even the trailer tells you so

Thor destroyed Asgard to defeat his sister... Indirectly...
And from previous MCU movies, which ones had a similar ending to Infinity war? Predictability follows an established pattern, what established pattern did infinity war follow for it to be predictable? Except in some facets?
Dusted characters returning? You read an article online.

Which kind article

I don't need a soothsayer to tell me that some dusted characters will return.

Come on this is one of the easiest outcomes to predict.

Most of the MCU characters are remolded to fit into the Marvel phase plans in other to make them relatable...
In the comics for instance, Thanos didn't embark on this self righteous mission... Infact, if ever he embarked on any killing spree, it was to please HELA, the goddess of death.
If HELA was with Thanos, the AVENGERS will be destroyed as soon as any of them pops up... To please HELA...

For avoidance of doubt.

Nick Fury: Artificial intelligence. You never even hesitated.

Tony Stark: Look, it's been a really long day, like, Eugene O'Neill long, so how's about we skip to the part where you're useful?

Nick Fury: Look me in the eye and tell me you're going to shut him down.

Tony Stark: You're not the director of me.

Nick Fury: I'm not the director of anybody. I'm just an old man, who cares very much about you.

Tony Stark: And I'm the man who killed the Avengers. I saw it. I didn't tell the team, how could I? I saw them all dead, Nick. I felt it. The whole world, too. It's because of me. I wasn't ready. I didn't do all I could.

Nick Fury: The Maximoff girl, she's working you, Stark. Playing on your fear.

Tony Stark: I wasn't tricked, I was shown. It wasn't a nightmare,*it was my legacy*.The end of the path I started us on.

Nick Fury: You've come up with some pretty impressive inventions, Tony. War isn't one of them.

Tony Stark: I watched my friends die. You'd think that'd be as bad as it gets, right? Nope. Wasn't the worst part.

Nick Fury:The worst part is that you didn't.

.......Those of you already predicting woes for Captain Marvel should calm down.... yes, the trailers might have looked bland and the character very lifeless, it could still be a success. Yes, she is being hyped like nothing have seen in recent times by Marvel, even to the extent of insulting Thor by saying she might be stronger than him...the only thing I don't like....
...But grossing over 850+ which I expect that it should will be success to me...
.....I don't like her character but I think it's important because there are rumours of Thor getting an army of krees in Endtime to fight Thanos's own and there is no one better to help with that than Captain Marvel.

i hate to play Marvel's defense attorney [God, i hate marvel except peter parker by the way, lol] but that's what they call foreshadowing. And we both knew right from time The Avengerz wouldn't be successful beating Than0s, infinity war was game changer and it wasn't meant to be like every other Avengers film where the villain would be defeated; the 2 parter storyline gave it away, and there had to be stakes. We knew many avengers would die, they had to but what seemed predictable was Tony's survival. The one thing i couldn't predict or see c0ming was Loki out of character play the hero and Cap America not dying. Infinity War was great. Had to watch it like 20 times. [it sucks to praise the oppositi0n. Yuck, am g0nna be sick]
and, Black panther sucks. Critics had to fair like they did w0nder w0man becos it was meant to pander to blacks. A good film quite alright, 7.0 rating but n0t as great as people pretend it is. Couldn't watch it past the 1st time i saw it unlike infinity war, the thor and cap films.
