Hello house,
Pls I need clarity on a sensitive issue.
Can an agent still tamper with your profile ( or move) after you have booked an appointment, signed and submit.
Can an agent block your account or reschedule or cancel your appointment, even tho he doesn't have your password.

I have an interview this week, and he is claiming he would terminate my appointment because he claims to to have bought me space of which I found not to he true. He booked a free date with my reciept for me claiming he bought it.

He bought a space for you to build your own embassy at Walter Carrington.... Nothing wey person no go hear. grin grin grin

Bros abi sis abeg go for your interview as long as him no get your password o if not he wee just cancel your appointment and send you wailing.... Or better still change all your passwords now now now to avoid stories that touch. And hope he didn't put his phone number in your profile, if not he will be the one to receive notification when you visa is ready for collection and probably collect it on your behalf. ONLY then can he DEAL WITH YOU grin grin grin

Log on to the https://cgifederal.secure.force.com website, click on UPDATE PROFILE on the left hand side of the browser.

Insert the new barcode, SAVE it and go ahead to PRINT new APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION PAGE.

Happy new year boss. My interview is 7 days after my i20 resumption date. I am thinking of hinting at my late arrival permission letter to the VO when they ask for my i20, I am not sure I should wait for them to ask for it because they might not ask for it and just go on to deny me. What do you think boss

My thought is that you would've done well if you'd come up with name(s) of faculty members who've promised you funding in subsequent term. This would've given your stance more strength. Then I believe as a graduate student(Msc/PhD), one is either involved as a RA/TA so whoever your advisor will be should be able to send you a letter indicating his readiness to allow work in his/her lab even in the absence of immediate funding.

Just saying.

Hello guys, I was turned back at the embassy on the 27th of December cos my barcodes didn't match and asked to reschedule.

I have contacted my school and asked them for an extension to allow me resume at a later date. Resumption/ Orientation is 8th January while classes begin 14th January.

My school in their response have assured me that all is well if I can come on before classes commence on the 14th January and would arrange orientation for a later date for late comers into campus. Now my questions, if my expedient appointment is approved and I get a date after 8th (resumption), hope I will be safe having the response the school sent me as defense as to why I am going to leave after 8th January (miss Orientation)?

Okay all the best but I just want to point this out. Getting a full time summer internship after your spring semester is NOT a possibility. Except only if the rules have changed, you need to be a full time student for one full year before you can go on internship. You might want to double check if the rules have changed which I doubt.

Well, below is an excerpt from the university page on internship and co-op. I guess you're thinking of co-op.

'We regard internships and co-ops as two distinct activities that have differing requirements. An internship is when a student temporarily breaks ties with the university and works at a company, often returning to their home country or town and often occurs during summer semester. The student has no direct ties to the university and is not enrolled as a student during this time. What is much more common is called a co-op (co-operative work experience) where the student enrolls for one UN5000 credit each semester during the work experience. This one credit maintains full time enrollment status. An international student must have completed a minimum of two full time (sic) semesters of study before being eligible for a co-op.'
