TheGoodJoe:i don't know where Pinnick is planning to put Moses. This is a classic case of trying to force a player into the team. Moses has been replaced permanently and should be allowed to remain in retirement permanently. We no dey use am for anything again, in 2018, he was only good for diving and penalties. We don't need penalties to win games again or his diving. Let sleeping dogs lie and let emerging stars shine. |

Cc Chriskels. This is Dembele's last season at Borrusia. I want to point out two things. Check out that bad touch ratio, that's UNsTCH that is what determines his good your control is in tight spots and that determines how good your passing is in tight spots. Then you said he can't dribble just pace, please please do the comparison yourself

charlesemeka85:Lure what? Lure him back. If he wants to organise a testimonial, that is his business but Pinnick is talking about Victor Moses having something to offer after he dumped the team. It is ridiculous. We have players to play the role. Whether lure or begging is a no no. Finito. |

Arsenal coach Unai Emery has hinted that teenage Nigerian winger Bukayo Saka could make his Emirates FA Cup debut when they face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday evening. The Hale End Academy product has already debuted for the Gunners in the Premier League and Europa League and will make it three competitions if he plays against the Seasiders. Should Saka feature against Blackpool, he will be aged 17 years and 4 months which makes him one of the youngest players of Nigerian descent to debut in the FA Cup. ''I am using different players because of injuries, but it is important for us to give chances to the young players," said Emery to arsenal.com. "The young players, like Saka, he has debuted in his last match and he was playing because at the moment we haven’t a lot of players who have the possibility to play wide right or wide left. "Saka is in the academy, growing up with good performances. It is the beginning, I hope, of a long career here in Arsenal.'' Former Southend United midfielder Femi Orenuga is the youngest player of Nigerian descent to appear in the FA Cup aged 15 years, 8 months and 11 days. He came on in the third minute of stoppage time vs Luton Town on November 29, 2008 in a second round clash. |

Joebie:And he had those stints without a work permit? He has no work permit yet the English clubs never considered sending him out on loan like Arsenal did with Nwakali, Liverpool with Awoniyi, ManCity with Chidi Nwakali, Yaw Yeboah etc? |

And which of those players have posted the type of performance Victor Moses posted against Cameroon in Uyo? I thought you are the one who would always say invite them all to camp and then choose the best? Victor Moses is a welcome addition, if he comes and he still can't bench the players we have now(which is highly unlikely) then he will sit on the bench unless we want to play a 3-5-2 formation |

no no to you but you can't change anything if victor decides to come back to the team. he is an experienced player and his return to the team will help in molding the younger ones who will learn from him in the team.

|

Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq has joined Serie B side, Perugia on a six months loan deal after his Glasgow Rangers spell was cut short reports Completesports.com. Sadiq becomes the second Nigerian at the club after Kingsley Micheal joined last summer from on a season loan from Bologna. The 21-year-old was impressive for NAC Breda in the second half of the Eredivisie season the last term scoring five goals in 12 games but struggled to settle in Scotland. The Nigerian managed just 161 minutes of football over five competitive games this season. He joins another Nigerian, Ovie Ejiara cut short his loan spell at Rangers to return to Liverpool. Sadiq only played four times for Rangers and started just once, which was a disastrous showing against Aberdeen in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup. The former Bologna and Torino lanky striker joined Roma in the 2015/2016 season but has so far failed to establish himself as a regular for the Serie A club. Sadiq’s exit from Rangers will free up space for Steven Gerard to bring in another striker to support Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Laffery in January. Recall that Sadiq was a member of Nigeria’s U-23 side to the 2016 Olympics in Brazil that won bronze. He scored four goals in the competition. Perugia are currently ninth in the Serie B log with 26 points from 18 games. The AS Roma loanee could make his debut for Perugia when they host Brescia on the 19th of January at the Renato Curi stadium. |

andrew444:Let's discuss. First question ❓ What is a KC, a striker a true No. 9, or maybe he is a SS, if that shoe doesn't fit is he then a AM, That's the first problem with him, he isn't currently good at anything to give him definition with value. The word is CURRENTLY. Solanke has not done anything in 27 multiple games for Liverpool, l am not sure how many minutes of start, stop football that amounts too. He is still as a result has the benefit of the doubt he is still considered GREAT POTENTIAL yet to be proven for lack of opportunity. Not necessarily my opinion. But let's define him, he is a true No.9 he has presence, physicality, good pace, hold up play and technical ability. He has had an England call up. So quite a few still rate him highly and that includes Southgate. However, add sentiment and a West Ham Manager in Pelligrini may take a gamble on our KC. Nonetheless, do you see him displacing, Aurnortivich, Carroll, Mikael, Hernandez, Felipe Anderson, etc. What quality does KC brings to West ham that they don't already have and much better again CURRENTLY speaking. Now once again considering the nature, the strategy, player requirements and approach of the bottom half of the EPL. Does KC fit the needs and requirements of the bottom half of the EPL. I am sure you would agree there is no mid table team and above in the EPL that would be looking at an impotent KC who really has no unique selling point or attribute as it stands. This brings me to the conclusion at least in England his best bet would be the Championship, that will include the few teams that play a certain level of good technical football like Derby County, West Bromwich, Villa and maybe Swansea. Any other team and he will be lost in action. Otherwise he should go to the Bundesliga where l think he may end his nightmare. Bearing all these permutations in mind, If l was a Manager in the EPL looking for some goals and a threat up front. Remove all sentiment considering the nature of the bottom half of the EPL. Who would you rather have. An impotent KC over the past two seasons who doesn't fit the profile for a striker or a Solanke who fits the profile but has shown potential and has even been called to England. ❓ ❓ ❓ The choice is yours |

19 year old Seattle Sounders left full back Ibrahim Usman has been handed a call up to the U20 team of Nigeria who will resume training for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations on Monday, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. Usman joined Seattle Sounders last year and made a total of 26 league appearances with four assists to his name and for now he is the only foreign base player expected to be in the squad despite not playing for the team in the qualifiers. He is expected to provide stiff competition for captain and regular left back Ikouwem Udoh who didn’t have the best of tournament at the recently concluded WAFU U20 Championship which Nigeria lost 0-2 to Senegal in the final. As reported by this portal, the left full back and central defence positions are the area which coach Paul Aigbogun want to strengthen and Usman is seen as one who could add depth to the options at left full back ahead of the naming of the squad for the tournament which starts next month.

charlesemeka85:God forbid the bolded. Vicmo is no role model. Imagine Chukwueze learning how to pick games to play for Nigeria, from Vicmo, or Iwobi and Ndidi learning how to feign injuries to skip Eagles matches in favour of their club careers from him. Please, coming to help mold our younger players should be the least reason to bring back Moses. Dude is a bad influence mbok |

charlesemeka85:My observations of Seria B and Segunda La Liga 2 is that the gulf in quality between the first tier is too much. It's not as competitive as the Championship in comparison to the EPL. And the get paid absolutely peanuts. I said ages ago that Sadiq Umar was simply not good enough and that he would struggle in League one football in England. That's now more or less established as proven. At the time l waa given dogs abuse some said he was better than Ighalo and Tega Abrahams. Well everyone done quite for him matter it's now. EOD |

InSanety:We don't share the same mentality. Who is a Nigerian according to Nigeria's constitution? How many season has he played? Just two. I don't know where you got the five from. He started his full first season in Eredivisie before he was recalled by Chelsea the next season but we know Chelsea refused to play him that season due to wages disagreement between the two parties. Moreover, where you expecting him to bench Costa? Bhuhahahaha! What a joke. Chelsea is not efulefu club as at the time he went and left there. Chelsea were title contenders and eventually champions. Despite that, Liverpool still came for him though he did not live up to expectations. However, another club came with £19m to buy the same flop tells alot. This is his third season in professional football and we are in the middle of the season. |
