Please house!!! What could be the problem of my laptop screen..... It shows this blurry screen and after a little time it comes out clean again, then after working for like 20mins or more it returns back to the blurry state until i have to turn off and on again using the power button........Please Gurus help me with possible repair solution ..... Is it a major screen fault or it is something else. It is a Elitebook Hp...

It could be the signal cable or the screen, I would advise you see a technician for troubleshooting.

Good morning guys, this happened with a new laptop i just got(HP Gaming Pavilion 15)
First time turning on the laptop to set up the windows the keyboard and touchpad wasn't working but i was able it set it up with my wireless mouse and on-screen keyboard after getting to desktop i was able to restart and both worked well after the restart. The following day my touchpad stops working at random, sometimes when I boot up, it doesn't work until i restart the laptop. sometimes when the laptop goes to sleep due to inactivity, by the time i try using it won't work. I've tried suggested solutions online like updating drivers, disabling and enabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the app drivers. Same problem still persist. I have even tried resetting my windows os. Any ideas

Hello.

1. Laptop works.

2. Trackpad refuses to function until system is restarted

3. System refuses to come out of Hibernation.

... Now, you've tried re-installing the drivers and Apps yet 2 & 3 persist.

>>You will need to install a new operating system. Thus time , wiping all partitions thus leaving no traces of the former OS.

>> Now that the system has a clean OS, you will need to go to Hp site to download the required drivers.

Here--> https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

There you will enter your systems serial number or model name.

Next you select your OS and the version.

You wait for the drivers to load.

Once loaded, you can pick from the list and install one after another.

To make it easier, you can use the hp drivers auto-detect feature. This completes the whole process automatically.

The issues should be resolved after this process.

*Cheers*

On the (3) the system works when it goes to sleep or hibernation only that the trackpad doesn't even if it had worked earlier before the hibernation but thanks for the new suggestion i hope changing version of windows 10 will work.

Most likely dead CMOS battery. Try removing the batteries. Plug it to power (without the batteries) and hold the power button for about 30 seconds for a full CMOS reset.

If it comes on, then you have no serious issues, if not and you are sure the power adapter works, you may need to check with an engineer for IC repair, shouldn't cost more than 2k depending.

If it doesn't overheat simply but wisely replace the battery.

Why go through all this stress when your laptop is a new one and still under warranty?

Even if it is used, within the first week of purchase it is advisable that you return it ASAP.

It can even cost you 50k, it just depends, but if it's a simple problem (which is more likely assuming it's a working but abandoned laptop case), it will be easy fix but definitely don't go to someone who would quote a price before diagnosing unless it's diagnosis fee.

Also, always mention your laptop details.

Please is it really advisable that i should use drivers pack 17 ( online) to scan and drive my systems

Reasons am scared is that it normally installed some unwanted software to the system during drivers installation which might bring viruses

But if you tink it dangerous to run full scan wit drivers pack 17 online

Please recommend another means for me

Imagine touch pad not working when you try to set it up.

yea, I have two laptops, one has hard disk issues and the battery is bad, while the other has an unidentified issue, but the hard disk is good. So I wanted the swap the hard disk of the 2nd laptop into the second but the hard disk casing HP put on it is virtually unscrewable, I've tried, me and three other laptops repairers, we couldn't unscrew it. So I want to see this your guy, maybe he could help me or something

1st of all, understand this: safety–online or offline rests totally in your hands.
So, you can take advantage of the "expert mode" feature before starting the whole process.

With that feature, you will be able to check what you want installed and un-check what you don't want installed.

Makes the whole process timely.

not the laptop, the hard disk casing, its damn hard to unsrew, basically unscrewable. The hard disk is good, I asked one repair guy to run diagnostics on it and he said it was functional, but unscrewing the casing hp put on it so I can put hard disk in the casing of the first laptop is my wahala
