Looks like an open and shut case to me, but the law is not always as it seems to be.

Amount for restitution will be the problem maybe Glo is offering 100 million which oboy will collect and move on, but the lawyers want 500 million and may also demand audience with Mike Adenuga to personally hand over to him their complimentary cards.

#500 million is very generous from the plantif.
GLO can settle this out of court and avoid all the razzmatazz and drama ensued.

Back to the topic, I met someone who told me about a slam dunk case just like this one, against then Vmobile. He chickened out because he didn't have the muscle to pursue the case. The judgment of this case will go along way to give confidence to other victims of copyright theft.

The Law is the Law,if the constitution favors you no SAN can say otherwise.

Exactly my thoughts too. It's just like let one person come and say s/he has copyright over the number of digits to use for the recharge voucher or the buzzing sound when calling or running of adverts while a connection is being established.

The telcos have the reserved right to brand their recharge voucher anyway they deemed fit to do. Besides I've not seen any advert on the recharge cards.

How was he going to make money from the scheme? Was he going to open up an advert agency to on board the adverts? But hey.... who cares about recharge cards thesedays.

I believe recharge cards and the contents therein are a full property of the company.

They own the recharge cards and can do whatsoever they choose to do on the card.
