He was sounding nice till he went the election way I knew he was a one Nigeria beggar So he said ipob should use their strength to vote in politicians that can use the state power so that the attorney general of the state doesn't throw them into jail for raising a Biafran flag When I got here I stopped reading Holding a Biafran flag is not a crime against a state government but a crime against the federal government He can't fool us with nice talks We are not stupid Ipob is a group the government calls a terrorist group And the federal government is the one against ipob not the state |

Corrinthians:Even if Biafran sympathisers managed to win every electoral position in their area and install Biafran agitators as political leaders, they will still have to go to the National Assembly of Nigeria to seek a referendum and they do not have the numerical strenght to get a vote on Biafran referendum in the Nigerian National Assembly. It would all be a waste of time. Had Nigeria been structured differently along regional lines, then it might have been possible. But that is not the case. The only way Biafran agitators can get a referendum in the current dispensation is using the numerical strenght of its supporters against Nigeria by mass protest, election boycott, civil disobedience etc. Election boycott is a good way of letting the Nigerian state as well as the international community know that a people are longer interested in being part of a country |

Problem of igbo is not Nigeria but igbos themselves , we are arrogant and disorderd. First we executed a coup, killing only the westerners and northerners. ( may I even use this opportunity to apologise for the 66 coup) without touching a single igbo man. Second they went to war without single preparation, and nearly terminated their existence. For me ipob/massob isn't genuine, otherwise they would have corrected our fault lines. |

tit:Just as if NK led us into another war he would have escaped to isreal before any other person Have you ever heard of insult in the tradition of our people, but he did it without recourse, insulting even Queen Elizabeth and American President Obama. Even this buhari/jubril issue is just a cooked plot to Burry his court case. Nwanne ichoo iwota, ofu okwu ezugolu onye malu ife. |

criuze:You are wrong. Major Ademoyega, Captain Oyewole, Lt Adeleke and Lt Egbiko were all participants in the coup. The first 3 were Yoruba and Egbiko was a Northerner. Anyone who tells you it was just Igbos that carried out the coup is lying. Also, a top Igbo Igbo officer , Lt Col Unegbe, was killed by the coup plotters. Second they went to war without single preparation, and nearly terminated their existenceNigeria declared on the Easterners by Nigerians. When someone comes to fight you, you fight back. The luxury of all the time in the world to be prepared wasn't there For me ipob/massob isn't genuine, otherwise they would have corrected our fault lines.IPOB and MASSOB are calling for freedom, independence and referendum. What fault lines can they have? |

Dreambeat:So how exactly will boycotting elections grant Igbos Biafra??...that is the question IPOB members have not been able to answer!.. It is the stupidd actions of boycotting the last Population Census that enabled what you are complaing about to get worse.. Be strategic instead of monkeying around!....i just cant wrap my head around the inability of you guys to think strategically. |

midolian:The writer's message should ordinarily be seen as calming and reasonable by those who think alike. The irony of the human mind, though, is that the IPOB drivers (I mean leadership and followers) will easily see a virtually completely opposite picture, and conclude that the writer is, in fact, seeking to impose an alien will on them!Brethren,http://saharareporters.com/2019/01/06/open-letter-ipob-charles-ogbu That, folks, is the true definition of co-habiting between literarily equally matched groups of people. It is in fact what's currently obtainable between Nigeria's so-called most dominant three ethnic groups of (in alphabetical order) Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. Thus, there must be a truce and bridge between any two for there to be a semblance of sanity in our nation's political eco-system. Believe it or not, this is what needs to play out on a local scale within the Igbo. Contrast that with the situation in South Africa for example, where the Zulu are so predominantly populous over other ethnic groups, such that the Zulu can afford to be fractionalized, go into national elections, and still defeat other parties centered on other ethnic groups. Just my two Kobo. ........ P34c3 ..... ... |
