I want to register by Monday, I have been to Marcarty study centre in Lagos, but I want to know what I need to take along, is it birth certificate or state of origin certificate and the rest.
Also do they offer computer science and education or just computer science?

2018 Batch 2 graduation list will soon be released.
If you are expecting your name on the list, print your ewallet (from 100-400L). You will need it for your clearance and once your name is out in the graduation list, your portal would be closed and you won't be able to print the ewallet again.

FACILITATION VS LECTURES

Though they maybe similar, But they have little differences.
Students, especially of national open university of Nigeria have often used the two words to mean the same

HERE ARE SOME POINTS TO NOTE AS DIFFERENCES, BETWEEN FACILITATION AND LECTURES.

1. Facilitation is to make easy or easier what you do not understand when you study.

2. Facilitation help bring about the main point in the courses you have studying

3. Facilitation helps students in academic discourse to share their thought about what they have read with other students to make the course more understandable.

4 Facilitation helps a group of students to have an effective dialogue and argument, the work of the facilitator is to help the students argument especially in other to reach a consensus without taking a side.

The main point of facilitation is to give students an ease of understanding of what they have studied

1.Lectures on the other hand is to give an exposition or to teach on a given topic to a group of people.

2.Lectures takes more time to establish the central point of the subject of discussion because they are used to convey critical informations.

3. lecturing include: quick exposure to new material, greater teacher control in the classroom, an engaging format, which may complement and clarify course material, and facilitating large-class communication.

4.Lectures is to give a serious talk to someone to criticize their behaviours or to advice them. Many times the criticism on a student's especially is to make the student a better person. And at times it can be to scold them.

So for national open university of Nigeria its facilitation not lectures. I write this short article to make students understand that they must study their course materials before attending facilitation for the ease of understanding and clarifying of course materials. this is the best way to go about facilitation.

I wish you all the best in your academic endeavours.
