Congrats to all PPR clinchers. You guys don't know how your stories serves as motivation for prospective runaways like myself... I always make sure I read this thread daily to keep myself abreast of happenings around.

Please how can I track my transcript order from ETX-Ng in OAU? Payment already confirmed by them 3 days ago.

Hi everyone,

I am new to this thread and I have gained a lot in this short period. I have an issue which I would like the elders in the house to kindly proffer an answer or solution to. I and my wife have applied under the express entry program to immigrate to Canny - April Aor (almighty LVO). We have recently been blessed with a son. My son was given birth to in Toronto, Canada and therefore a Canadian citizen. The question therefore is: since my son is Canadian, do I still have to inform IRCC that there is an addition to the family?

Thank you all for the responses

There's no need for that.

If you guys have already landed in Canada as Permanent Residents then its captured.

However if you PR application is still in process like everyone else and have not landed as PRs in Canada - you need to declare the birth Canadian Citizen or not.

There's no need for that.

Don't say that yet because from the Info she has given it doesn't seem like they have got PPR yet.

Don't forget people can birth Visit visa to have their baby in Canada.

Being Canadian Citizen doesn't not mean the baby is added to their application automatically.

Send them emails and chat the number on their website regularly. Someone will respond.
They will certainly update the stages of your transcript order on their site but please do intense follow up.

Hi guys. Please I have a concern. I'm trying to get my reference letters together. In 2013 I taught in a school. But later left in 2015. Then I started teaching privately till date (home tutor)

I want to show bank statements for the money I received. But would I need to bring bank statements for the entire duration o worked with each person or will a particular number of months' statements be enough?
Please help. Thank you.

There's a chat icon on their website, use it to chat them up and they'll give you an update. You can also send emails and they'll reply. But please note that their service is quite slow, it took them 5 weeks to get my transcript ready. Same OAU

Iqas takes months because as at yesterday when a friend of mine put a call through to them to know if their is any update on his application, he was told that he should exercise more patience because they are still processing mails received last year October
milkytins:
Pls, how long does it take IQAS to complete evaluation?
Or is it still better to do WES with additional money and time to get WAEC result?

Please, would you recommend obtaining IELTS form online or go to their center to apply?

Also, does Ibadan center has good facilities for listening (headphone)?

Thanks

Good morning house,

I was one of the applicants that got the new year 'ineligible' express entry profile message. I read testimonies of creating a new profile, increasing the POF and becoming eligible but I decided to stay action on creating a new profile till i see an official information on their website about the "increase in POF" but none up till now.

Long and short is I prepared to create a new profile just now. I logged into the "ineligible" account profile and I saw the info which says I am eligible again although no message was sent to that effect. I still have the ineligible message in my account though. I also had two ghost updates between Jan 1 and now.

Right now it says I meet the minimum criteria. #You are a candidate. We will send you a message if you are invited to apply# ....OK ohhhhh

I am thinking the whole ineligible profile message was just a glitch like some have pointed out.Should I go ahead and create another profile? I hope I wont have issues post AOR about my eligibility?.I intend to increase the POF in my account before submitting my application to give room for an increase in POF requirement that IRCC might introduce.

Note: I received an ITA before now but had to decline towards the deadline last december. I am expecting another ITA today @464

I will appreciate your comments and opinions.thanks

House please I need your advise. I want to submit my Express Entry profile latest by March. I am in my 30s and I will do my next birthday in April. Hope completing and submitting my Express Entry profile before my next birthday (which will be in a month's time) will not affect my CRS points concerning age (remember for every single increase of age above 29 is minus 5 point) when my CRS is being calculated? Wonderful people of the house, advise me please
.

It will not affect your CRS only if you have received ITA not by creating a profile

Good morning everyone,

Please for those who have taken the computer-based IELTS, is it allowed to answer all the listening and reading questions in uppercase?

Your responses will be appreciated.
Thank you

The whole thing is such a unique case.

My 2cents. Try to edit the "ineligible" profile ( eg. increase the POF). If you can edit it, then it is active and you can use it like that.

On the other hand, you are not supposed to have more than one active profile, but I think there will be an exception this time. I'm sure most people have already opened new profiles.

But this is poor from CIC. Why would there be no communication on this issue. And they pride themselves as the most open department in government. SMH.

YES . You must inform CIC of any changes to your family composition. Except you have landed as permanent residents.

Super congrats dear. So happy for you!
Sparks026:
This is my story, short but inspiring.

1st IELTS attempt with BC (10th Nov 2018)
Saw my result on the 24th Nov 2018 as follows: LRWS = 5.5, 7, 7, 7.5 (overall band 7)
# I knew my listening result would be a mess right from the time I finished the exams because I went blank at a point and did not concentrate to follow up the questions. Although, I did not bother because I trust my ability. So I immediately register for another exams

2nd IELTS attempt with IDP MOD (1st Dec 2018)
Saw my result on the 14th Dec 2018 as follows: LRWS = 8.5, 8, 6.5, 8.5 (overall band cool
# I was a bit disappointed with my writing score because I knew what I wrote and deserve more than 6.5. So I opted in for an EOR the same day (14th) and requested for a remark on my writing. Fast forward 8th Jan 2019 (exactly 25 days), i received an email from IDP MOD saying "We are pleased to inform that we have received the outcome of your remark. Please be informed to complete the form below and avail us with the scanned copy via email." Immediately I checked online again for my result, behold it has changed from 6.5 to 7.

So my new result is: LRWS = 8.5, 8, 7, 8.5. With this result I am good to go for the express entry profile creation as my point alongside my spouse is now over 450 points.

My advise: If you know what you have written and received a below expectation result, kindly go for EOR. A trial is not a crime, go for it. Wish you guys the best of luck for those still trying the IELTS exams.
