God has done it for me, after 2years of trying, my God surprised with me a new year gift (bfp). I stopped going to d hospital when nothing happened, all I did was to pray, take morning lemon and ginger, then i noticed a change in my menstral cycle, ovulation. I really need advice from experienced mummies in the house. Cos I'm depressed right as AF showed this morning.

DH and I have been trying ttc for 14months now. After trying for the first 6months after marriage, we started seeking for help.

Our Nurse place me on Clomid. And one week after I missed my period, I tested positive. But two weeks, later, I had the heaviest flow of my life which lasted on and off for 3weeks.

She placed me on Clomid again and it wasn't successful.

Since then we have been going here and there for solutions. DH is already getting weary and I felt all alone.


Right now, I don't know what to do. Someone please tell me, what is the next step?

The next step is just relax! It sounds as if you had a very early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy) and low progesterone MAY be the cause.
My candid advice is that next time, as soon as you have a positive pregnancy result and it's likely to happen again and soon, just head for the nearest big pharmacy and get CYCLOGEST suppositories to support the pregnancy. (Alpha pharmacy, off Toyin str if u're in Lagos. Others in the house who know of other sources, pls contribute). Cyclogest is not only for IVF patients; it also helps support threatened naturally conceived pregnancies. TTC sistas 40 & above pls. specially take note of this - you may have been losing early pregnancies due to your body not producing enough progesterone to support the pregnancy without being aware. All I do is freely share from research & personal experience, so hope this helps someone.

It doesn't really matter. Here is the cycle that suggested my BFP.

There is a drop shortly before ovulation, and immediately followed by a spike, which suggested the release of an egg. Just ensure you chart your daily record. Once I get a surge with ovulation kit, I track release of an egg by temping.

check out the cost of ivf sometimes I think it better to cost of infertility treatment as u are most sure of going home with a baby.

Causes of Infertility

Infertility can arise if the mucus remains thick and sperm are unable to swim through it, or if it contains antibodies that attacks the sperm.

The uterus may contain Fibroid, and it's lining may be affected by endometriosis.

BIRTH CONTROL PILLS AND INJECTIONS may cause infertility, in that the chemicals which prevents ovulation may do so for longer than the woman wishes.

OVARIAN PROBLEMS scarring due to surgery or cysts or side effect of radiation treatment can damages ovaries.

HORMONAL IMBALANCE the imbalance of progesterone, which is necessary for a fertilised egg's survival, may cause miscarriages if too little or for too short a time, the egg may not survive. Estrogen the female hormones too plays an important role in the fertility of the woman.

INJECTIONS sexually transmitted like syphilis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia etc. Can damage the ovaries.
